Re: an oral history of realgm knicks
Who was that guy who posted for the first time earlier this year with a ridiculous and funny introduction including stuff about his job and sex life? I can't remember his name and I can't find it on google, but it lasted for at least a week and was absolute gold.

That thread with Mugzi threatening people was the most embarrassing thing I've seen on this board.

I remember holdupstop's favourite emoticon:

Are you fans of the team or the player?

Also I remember when everybody was coming up for nicknames for David Lee other than DLee... We got DLee (Daily) Hustle & "DaWhite Howard" among the favorites
How could you forget Avi Lee??!?!?
AVI LEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now we're talking!!!! No idea how I could've forgotten it in the midst

Re: an oral history of realgm knicks
lmao our "free lottery pick" in randolph morris... living in GA... i remember after his knicks run, he was a resident towel waiver for the hawks. i was at a game once where he finally got some tick and i kept yelling "HE WAS THE KNICKS FREE LOTTERY PICK" in the crowd, people thought i was nuts. i was hammered drunk. too much fun!!

In a world where Eddy Curry and Jerome James are your other centers, Jackie Butler was king.

Thanks for your contribution in this thread.

The powers that be just tried too hard to steer what was being talked about on here without realizing that the traffic and the things that made this forum different were going to take a hit. You need to have opposing opinions to have really good conversation... it can't be so one sided to the point where everyone agrees.
it's really maddening what's gone on here in the past few months. The season is nearly 20 games in, the Knicks are 2nd in the East, and I check in here about once a week at most now ... something's not right ...
I'm sorry, but to the people behind these changes : I TOLD YOU SO ... it's maddening because I brought it up to the mods that the trend of over modding and banning guys like doczaius and dk7th or effectively banning TKF is lowering the quality and traffic of the board and all I get is them explaining away why they did what they did (I should have expected it, right? these are the same types of folks who can explain away just about every questionable move the Knicks make)
TO THE MODS: you need to stop being defensive! I don't bring up these criticisms because I have personal vendettas against any of you, I bring up these criticisms because I'm someone who used to enjoy this board and now I don't. evidently quite a lot of people feel the same way. the proof is in the pudding, my friends! people aren't posting here as much!
sad thing is, I don't know how you can fix what's broken. those guys aren't coming back. best you can do is reverse the trend and hope things eventually build back up again. something exciting happening in knicksland would also probably bring back more traffic

NYK Mentality
I have to bring up NYK Mentality. I thought he was harmless with his long rambling post and extreme homer attitude.
I just think he was annoying the mods (and everyone else) with his backseat modding, and it was known that he had a previously banned account (NYK State of Mind?), hence his 2nd time being waived.
Anyway, the funny parts.
Albert made a funny post about him that I read a while ago. He said something like:
That was just hilarious
The ongoing build up of NYK Mentality was totally worth it for this parody of NYK Mentality made my BE86. One of the funniest things I have seen on RealGM:

This had me laughing for days
EDIT: I do feel a little bad for NYK Mentality. He meant no harm and was ganged up be posters.

Speak for yourself on this. Have you even seen what TKF and DK7th are spewing on the other board? It is beyond insane. All they do is bash our team and Melo. Daily. Calling us old and defending the Nuggets.
Do you want that back here?
I am glad they are gone. At least everyone here wants to talk about how to move forward instead of looking backwards at a trade that happened 2 years ago.
