Liked him in the draft, seems like he's been getting run and blocking shots

You're probably going to need an asset to get him

He was benched again for a lot of the 4th including at least the final 5 minutes when I started streaming it, with his head in his hands on the bench looking noticeably annoyed.

And Jordan Hill is in the doghouse, too. I swear, Mike D'Antoni is a one man wrecking crew. I laugh at all of you who wanted him to coach the Nets. He's just not good, and he's terrible in playe relations.

Lakers out- Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill
Lakers in- Humphries, Teletovic, Brooks, Toko, and a pick or two.

Nets out- Humphries, Teletovic, Brooks, Toko, and a pick or two.
Nets in- Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill

Williams/Watson/Taylor
Johnson/Bogans
Wallace/Stackhouse/Childress
Gasol/Evans/Hill
Lopez/Blatche/Hill

Boom.

We can't do them if we wind up above the tax apron after the trade, which we almost certainly will under any circumstances.

I had a dream we traded tele and Wallace to the blazers but Portland agreed to waive Wallace so we can sign him back.

So you know, keep an eye out for that

Targets:

Love
LMA
Pau Gasol
Josh Smith
Nene
Paul Millsap
Varejoa

I would also say they need a much better main big minute 6xth man wing:

Eric Gordon
Wes Matthews
Arron Afflalo
Wilson Chandler
Gerald Henderson
JJ Redick
Jared Dudley

Available assets:

Brook Lopez(only in a handful of deals and very unlikely)
All future 1sts
MarShon Brooks
Kris Humphries
Mirza Teletovic
Rights to Bogdanovic
Shengelia
Tyshawn Taylor

I totally would never want to trade for a player who's had his shot blocked. What a scrub.

Especially when you have Kris Humphries. Such an electrifying player and a stud.

Of course since they both have the same amount of years left on their deal, you'd obviously want Hump for 2 years rather than Gasoft for two years.

humphries has been a better player than gasol this season and apparently this is the only forum on realgm that still thinks its 2010. paus been an utter joke on both ends of the floor this year, like not just not all star level good, but down right this guy is a complete **** pussy that cant defend a soul and throws up garbage attempts and is losing us games pretty much by himself bad.

That would be nice. But, this is LA. I feel like they are going to want a marquee player back in return. Even if he is not as valuable as our assets.

and i dont even think paus done... he needs to go to a team where a) he can play 35 MPG at center and b) hes the man, the big fish in a small pond. he gets to play at the rim on both ends, and is allowed to show off the skills that make him a unique player. like cleveland... would love to see him make the playoffs with kyrie.

We keep thinking of taking overpaid nene/boozer types off of cost-cutting teams hands but Eric Gordon is interesting.

If New Orleans is weary of that knee maybe they take the expiring + assets for Gordon

All this talk of Nene has me re-evaluating the Josh Smith situation.

Really, Smoove seems to be the best available fit for our frontcourt needs: rebounding, fast-break finishing, weakside defense and interior passing. As you know, I've been resistant to Kris-for-Smith trade talks. After all, I figured we would need more of a PF/C alongside Brook, to fill backup C minutes. Now that Andray has that role locked down, that is no longer a concern. I think we could use Josh's abilities in our system. He's going to command beaucoup bucko next summer; but if we trade for him, we'll be able to match any offer.

Assuming neither Horford nor Ibaka go on the trading block, Josh is about the best we can do to improve the team.

Do you have a top ten pick in your pocket so the Nets actually have a chance at Smoove? Because this is basically what you're asking the Hawks to take:

Huphries (for a year longer), Marshon Brooks, Euros (not of the monetary kind), picks (three at the most), and money (straight cash, homey).

That deal could and would be matched almost instantly. Hell, I think Fab Melo, Sullinger, two first rounders from the Celtics could beat it, assuming the Celtics could find a taker for their long-term salary to match.

Why can't we find a taker for our longer salary?

It more so comes down to Smith and his agent unless a lotto team or team with a top prospect is willing to take a risk on him re-signing.
