Does Karl Malone really think he can be the AD at La Tech?

I just read an article about the LaTech football team missing out on a bowl game after a 9-3 season. There is a quote from Karl saying "To our football and staff this … is exactly what is wrong with our university. Now it's time to get former athletes to run our program. I'm [6-foot-9] and not hard to find." Really?!? I don't know what I think of this. I'm sure Karl is just emotional about the situation but does he really think he can run the athletic department?

Being an Athletic Director at a D1 Schools is not like being a Pro-Sports GM. These jobs go to people with strong academic backgrounds, not strong playing history or sports minds.

But I think Karl knows this and is just saying that if they make decisions as bad as he thinks this is they may not need those fancy resumes.

This is just Malone running his mouth. Nothing new. Love the guy to death, but he's always had mouth diahrrea.

IDK if 34 is that young... I do remember Karl always talking in the 3rd person and loving himself more than most. I guess after years of following Karl's career I wonder if he really believes the stuff that comes out of his mouth.
