I laughed so hard when I heard the Pelicans. So be it. The Bobcats will be the Hornets within the next couple years.

Bobcats isn't even a bad name, but Pelicans is. Cardinals are at least noble looking birds. Blue Jays are at least aggressive and kind of badass for that reason. Pelicans are a punchline to a joke about the sea.

I agree, but I think we keep teal/purple and add the current light blue and faint orange highlights. When I get home, I'll mess around on photoshop to show you what I mean. It still looks sick nasty and by far the best colors/logo in the league

Pelicans?!?!? Oh, well. I liked Krewe or Brass. Pelicans sounds like a cartoon baseball team full of lovable fat kids.

Although I haven't been singing in the 'Bring Back the Hornets" choir, I was there at the first Hornets game, and definitely not opposed to bringing the Hornets back to Charlotte. I like Amcoolio's proposed color scheme.

I got the notification on my phone during class and let out a very audible "Holy sh**... f*ck yes!" Got some strange looks and then about three other people did the same thing.

Disagree. Bobcats is probably the second worst nickname in the league next to the Knickerbockers.

I don't know how I feel about the orange. I actually really like our current color scheme sans the orange. Add enough purple and teal to make it look Hornets-esque but not 100% Hornets.

I like it as well. I don't know how to describe it, but I do like the name.

This will be incredibly confusing for basketball fans waking from a ten-year coma.

Honestly don't have a problem with it either, could be funky (in a good way) if they did it cartoonish sort of like the Baltimore Orioles logo

It's sad that I'm laughing at my own post but, this is funny to me.

My dedication thread that I will start to the 6% of anti - Hornets fans that prefer the Bobcats name when we are officially the Charlotte Hornets again.

This is by no means professional, but...

Original

Recolored in current color scheme

My combination of the two

The light blue doesn't work as well with the teal like I had hoped. I used a richer purple and a lighter teal for the recolor. I'd prefer purple to navy blue, but I could see the Bobcats going with navy blue/light blue. Just too much memphis grizzlies for me.

As a Cats fan, I think my favorite suggestion thus far has been the New Orleans Lottery Balls.

Is Jackie Moon part of the ownership group of the Pelicans? Sounds like an ABA team to me. I like it.

The ball should be orange in the new second logo, and the laces should be gray.. otherwise i like it

I will be pissed if we half-ass this switch and have to sit through awkward Bobcats/Hornets explanations or keep bringing up the Bobcats name when we switch. I've leaned on the side of no change, I like the Bobcats. But if we do go with Hornets, sit down with Benson and negotiate a deal for EVERYTHING Charlotte Hornets, history, records, logos, colors, jersey designs, court designs, whatever they own that is tied to CHARLOTTE Hornets should be ours. They can keep whatever New Orleans garbage they want. If we're gonna be the Hornets I wanna be THE Charlotte Hornets, the ones with Dell, Muggsy, LJ, Mash, etc. Not the Bobnets. I'm sick of the identity struggle in this franchise. I want the game to be called by the leading scorer in CHARLOTTE HORNETS history, Dell Curry, not all time leading PELICANS scorer Dell Curry.

If we can't get that deal then stick with the Bobcats, come out and say that we cannot be the Hornets and squash this thing.

What do yall think about a alternate logo with The Hornet doing the air jordan pose?
