Vesely continues to pitch in and do the thankless tasks and little things, whatever it takes to help the team win.

You know what they say about people who "assume", right? Well ignore that, because you're correct.

If Miller or Ray Allen hit one more out of the three or four WIDE OPEN looks they got from 3-point range, we'd have lost the game by 4 and everyone would be talking about the usual Wizards collapse.

Let's not get too excited folks. This team is still bad. They're definitely better with Nene (2-3 with 2 of those losses in overtime) but let's not start talking about playoffs yet.

I do think they can play .500 ball if Wall gets back and Nene stays healthy.

Real bad team beats real good team.. Not that uncommon.. Heat overlook the Wiz, play sub par for 48 mins, while the Wiz go in with nothing to lose and end up playing loose and above average.. Maybe they gain confidence from it and go on a run? Highly doubtful, but possible I suppose.. Hope for the best!! Who'd a thunk the Skins would roll off 3 straight division wins? It's pro sports, most anything is possible..

Maybe I imagined this, but didn't someone here say that Beal's siblings are overweight?

I've seen them on one of those preseason videos on NBA.com I believe, they looked pretty big.

Easy Nate. Lets not get too excited.

Look. Its was a great win. They did not make those shots. People should enjoy it and feel hopeful about the team they cheer for. If not, why even be a fan? I think we are all big boys enough to know there is a lot more that needs to be proven. But the fact is, they did play well and they did just beat one of the best teams in the league. And they have played in lots of close games even while looking like total such in parts of most of them. Hey, the just beat NBA champs last year who were 13-3 this year. Those 3 loses where all on the road and to NY, LAL and MEM. All good teams.

Skins beat the NFL camps last night. Are the Skins playoff bound. Not yet. Am I encouraged by them. Absolutely.

Again, if you can't derive hope after a game like this, why even be a fan ? Not like anyone gave the Skin a chance 3 games ago.

They did not play sub par. What game did you watch ? LeBron had a triple double. All their big three played well. It was a legit solid win.

Now lets see what they do from here.

All the Wizards have to do is swing the ball like they did tonight and they will play .500 ball at least, if Wittman sticks with this rotation.

People are acting like beating Miami three times in a row, and four if you count preseason, is a fluke. Lebron said post game the Heat took too long to get started, giving up 60 points in the first half. He said they played well enough to win the second half. Miami had 54 in the first half. They tied the game at 88 and the Wizards fought them off. This was a clear a win as there was.

Washington had 4 players in double figures, and Singleton had 9 points with 9 boards. They outshot the Heat 38-79 (.481 FG) to 41-89 (.461 FG).

All of the big three played this time, with Allen and Miller both in double figures.

I doubt this is an outlier. This was a huge win that will turn their season around IMO.

31 assists and no single player had more than 6.

That's good basketball. We need to do more of that, quickly.

Agree with hands here, just watched the replay, stayed away from facebook, here, everywhere so i didnt spoil it.

We played damn good ball. We got lucky on a few shots by Price and JC, but overall we played excellent team ball and excellent defense. We took what they gave us and didnt give them many easy points at all. Above all, we attacked them and got rewarded at the line.

Key to victory moving forward: Pretend we are playing the Heat EVERY GOD DAMN NIGHT.

Its a shame Ariza went down, he had a good game and the trade looked worth it when he was on the court. And can we please keep Martell? He did one of the best most articulate post-game interviews ive ever heard. What a likeble character. Beal had a good game too, he looks good in transition, cant wait for him next to Wall. His defense on Wade was stellar, too, for a rook.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Really, truly happy for the players on this team -- they work hard and give their all every game. They obviously did their homework in preparation for this game, too. Major props to them - they deserve it.

But at the same time, this kind of win gives Ted and EG more ammo to continue down the same, failed course we've been on the last few years. This is the kind of game they'll point to when someone says we don't have the talent to one day compete at the next level. "Well, they beat the 12-3 Heat with a gimpy Nene and Wall out - patience, my friend!"

So yeah, torn.

This.

Kinda like that end-season streak, or that OKC win... This team will get our (and Ted & Ernie's) hopes up, Ted will brag about this "turnaround" win on his blog... Oh well...

Watch us get blown out by the Hawks on Friday... We simply don't have the talent to just "turn it on" and all of a sudden win a bunch of games...

Sorry, for the emo/downer post, but until EG is gone, I won't have any fate in this team...

For real though, he has been playing well apart from those "wtf are you shooting for???" moments once or twice a game. He can flat out score, get hot, and keep it going all game. He hit a couple of nice threes to keep us in it. Made a couple of good plays.

I dont want to trade him anywhere near as badly as before. I think he is developing into that perfect 6th man who comes in and devestates the other team's second unit.

That's the worry. It's easy to highlight one game on the calendar and then get up for it. Great win and I hope the Wizards can use it to kick themselves into gear, but when the Wizards get all brand-new against teams they have no business beating I feel like it's a setup for disappointment. At least Beal looked consistent, he didn't force anything and took his usual shots. I thought he would come out wearing his big-boy pants because he was on the same court with Wade--- which would've really pissed me off. Beal will be alright, last night's game showed that he's disciplined enough to stay within the team concept.

Let's build on this!

Funny I was thinking the same thing last night about the Wiz.

During the first quarter, while watching the Heat, I thought to myself "elite teams pass", which the were doing. The ball doesn't stop and it goes to the right place. Some people don't like Randy, but I do.
1. The Wiz are getting better not worst (team-wise)....stats may say differently, but they pass my eye test.
2. The team seems to be cohesive
3. They have a talent problem and Randy is doing what he can

I never leave games thinking "WTF", I seem to leave thinking "this team played hard for a team full of second stringers."

I don't want to get down on Beal, but I saw a different game from him. I try to focus on him during the game , when he comes in.

People pretty much scored at will on him. It appeared he didn't get a lot of minutes (not a bad thing from a rook). 6/10 pts, I consider garbage (I.e other people setting him up- come from hustle). He did have one really nice pass down court for an assist. I do think Beal will benefit GREATLY when Wall returns. However he can't create. I'm not sure if it's the transition, but people look noticeably bigger and faster than him on the court.

LBJ, does this skip step cross over that is sick. He was the best player and knew he could score at will
Bosh is super consistent
Wade put up 20+ pts without notice.

The Heat lost because they missed shots they normally make and the Wiz made shots they always miss. The Heat knew they were going to pull out the game vs the Wiz who had noticeable signs of choking.

This was their championship. The Wiz girls had on new gear. The announcers had a bounce in their step. Ted hired extra people to run around with "noise" signs. New graphics on the screen.

Miami considered this another game, the Wiz game 7.

I applaud the Wiz and I partied hard last night....but we'll still have our issues tomorrow,
Everyone hooks up with a model chick once when she's down with low confidence......
