agree with everything e said, asik has great potential, but two knocks on him
- he's not blocking a lota shots. he's getting between 30-35mpg but still 1.2 or 1.3bpg. i know we have a young team and not great defensively. i dunno if thats a big enough factor to keep his bpg down

-TURNOVERS! he gets 11pg and 1apg but 3tpg. only one game this season he had 1 or 0 turnovers. the past 4 games he's kept his turnovers low. im sure he'll end the season around 1.5-2tpg but im still shocked he racked up so many to's when he barely touches the ball lol

Well they keep throwing low bounce passes to him so he gets credited with the TO when it should be the passer.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

btw the win vs lakers was his 2nd game where he had less than 2 turnovers. finished the game with not 1, but ZERO TOS!!!!!!!! finally got below the 3tpg avg, down to 2.8. still tho, he had no blocks

still he's keeping htem tos down, the blocks will come once/if these stupid youngns get with the defensive scheme

Well I read somewhere, he's been told by coach to not to jump to block shots and keep his feet on the floor to stay in position. That's probably why his block numbers are lower than expected.

I don't care about his block shots being down since he is playing real good defense.

The other Rockets need to stop passing down low to him. Send it up in the air and let him get it. It seems like so many of those low passes bounce off of his hands.

oh yeah that makes sense. dont wanna risk season ending injuries for an extra block

No not because of injury concern. Because of Foul trouble. Asik was a foul machine in his 2 years in Chicago. He was a backup so they let him hack and put players on the floor. He is our starter, we need him to stay on the floor. I think the coaches asked him to tone down his defensive aggressiveness.

He's not getting blocks but he's still clogging the lane.
