That's because D'Antoni is running a short rotation and because Jamison has been playing well for them, and for some reason D'Antoni doesn't like Hill.

In any case, you need guys in case of injury. And on their roster it's especially important! Getting Boozer would be a net loss both in talent, bodies, and especially defense.

What about Demarcus Cousins in Charlotte?

Post#163 » by Cashin out » Thu Dec 6, 2012 6:20 pm

I'm a Lakers fan but the Bobcats are my 2nd favorite team because i'm from NC,so I want to see them do well just like the Lakers.

My question is what about we go after Demarcus Cousins?I think he just needs a change of scenary,he has the potential to be the 2nd best center in the NBA behind Dwight. If I was the Bobcats I would offer anything on the roster except Kemba/MKG,if we could get Cousins I think we would have the potential to be the next young up and coming team with a big 3 of Kemba/MKG/Cousins.

I would offer Mullens/Henderson/2 1rd picks for Cousins/bad contract.

What would you guys give up to get Cousins?

I would do it for 1 first round pick attached to Mullens and Hendo but I wouldn't do it with 2 first rounders. Cousins' is a questionable locker room guy. I doubt that him and Dunlap could work well together. That has drama written all over it. Yet still it's worth the risk because I think Kemba and MKG will be or are strong enough leaders to dismiss any behavioral problems from Cousins if they were to occur and get him on the right ship.

Sacramento needs some character vets in their locker room. Hendo is a character guy, so is Sessions. Something like Hendo, Sessions (after Dec 15), and Diop (expiring), and a 2 rd pick for Cousins and Salmons (bad contract). If we give up Diop and take a bad contract, no 1st round picks.

I would LOVE to have Boogie Cousins here though. Him, MKG, Kemba together is a foundation.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

He's not on the block for any price we can afford. Assuming MKG is untouchable

Just give him an offer in the offseason... Now that Sacramento is easily the most dysfunctional organization in the league, I'm not entirely sure that they'd match the offer. Trading for Cousins though? Naw. Any reasonable trade would be giving up too much on our end to be anything other than a gamble.

Cousins value is way higher than Hendo, Sessions, and a couple of picks.

As much as I'd want him here, we don't have the pieces to trade for him. They aren't going to want our SGs, as they've already got an overload of them.

Sac isn't trading cousins until he starts acting like he is two years old, and falls out spasming on the floor throwing a tantrum to be traded.

All jokes aside, that might actually happen. Cousins got a couple of screws loose

He reminds me so much of Derrick Coleman. I demand a paternity test.

With Walker playing so well, Henderson back, and Gordon shooting the lights out, it looks like the minutes for Sessions are starting to dry up. There aren't many PG minutes available, and now it seems like there are almost no SG minutes available for him.

With that said, would you guys consider Jordan Hill and Darius Morris for Sessions? Hill will never be a star, but once he gets a consistent 30 mpg he can be a 10-12/10-12 big man with solid D. Morris is nothing special, but can handle the minutes that Walker doesn't get, so that you don't have a gaping hole at PG after Walker.

Where do we sign at? I would do this deal without much of a second thought.

Why is Jordan Hill getting so much love around these parts? At what point has he done anything even remotely impressive?

And I'll trade Gordon long before I consider trading Sessions

I do not understand why everyone is so hot to trade Ramon. You guys do know that he is from the Carolinas and joined Charlotte to be close to home right? That is the kind of loyalty we are looking for in our rotations.

Not to mention that he's, well, better than Gordon. And is the only thing keeping Higgins from getting PT.
