So if we do somehow get a Top 3 pick this coming draft, we may be able to add the one young superstar we need to put us over the top into a winning franchise.

Pretty much this.
I don't think we need a top three pick even. This draft class probably won't be the answer, I could be wrong. What is needed is the franchises first ever reliable low post scorer/defender. Who is our best to date? Okafor? Diaw? This is the hole that needs filling. The rest is shaping up pretty nicely.

Steve Martin's call of the JR Smith shot describes my feelings perfectly. A long period of silence followed by him saying "another heart-breaker for the Charlotte Bobcats"...

This was the 17th time in NBA history that a team had attempted 41 threes. I found it interesting that the first team to do it were the '96 Dallas Mavericks (with George McCloud and Jim Jackson firing away from long range) and they had 42+ 3PA's for three games in a row in March. NYK became the leading franchise with 4 occurrences (the previous ones being in '09 and last year) of so many threes. The record for teams attempting at least 41 threes in a game now is 4-13, so it says something about living by the three to that extent. This Knicks team might not get past round 1, if they live by the three. Because we all know what happens if you do so.

With Hendo back doesn't it seem to you guys that we almost have too many shooting guards and small forwards? I hope this won't cause any chemistry issues. I was a bit puzzled to see Turtle getting PT in this game.

Props to the team and of course JT for keeping Melo to 4 points in the second half. That was fun to watch.

I can't really say anything that hasn't been mentioned already about the last minutes of the game... Let's hope the guys learn from these games.

you beat me to it lamar. i just looked up the 3s on bball-ref as well. i knew 41 had to be close to a record. only 27 times has a team shot 40 or more in a game. crazy.

We are cursed. Get all the way to 7 wins the fastest in team history and to match last season's total only to lose 5 straight heartbreakers. With that said I am excited about this team moving forward. Kemba has potential All-Star written all over him. MKG still has plenty of room to grow and the sky is the limit for his ceiling. Biz is becoming the defensive anchor that we expected of him even sooner than we though. And JT is the ultimate glue guy that can shoot from deep and play stifling man defense. We better beat the Bucks tomorrow so I can keep my optimism. Go Cats!

I have absolutly nothing bad to say! I am proud of our guys. They held their own until literally the very last second against one of the best teams in the league. Five years from now Melo will be on his last legs if he is still in the league. Our older core members will only have recently started to play their best basketball! The Cable Box will soon be one of the most feared places in the league. ( Vincent Price laugh! )

I remember watching that game. J-Rich was unconscious all game as was most of the team. It was insane.

It was inevitable. We don't have the talent to keep a hot streak like that up. We had some tough games that we let slip away to teams that we shouldn't even have kept a close game with. With Hendo back, Milwaukee should be a little easier to beat. Remember when Hendo shut down Monta last season?

No. I remember Kemba shutting Monta down that game. It was when he was still a Warrior. That was the game that Silas started Kemba at SG alongside Augustin and moved Hendo to SF. I still got it DVR'd on my TV to this day. I do remember Monta going for 26 points as a Milwaukee Buck when we played them later in last season though.

LMAO @ Bobcats fans who predicted a Knicks loss against the Heat. Good call.

Because Bobcat fans are the only ones who would have predicted a Knicks loss against the reigning champions.

This really isn't relevant to this thread, troll elsewhere or risk suspension.

I had NY winning this one, till I found out Melo was out. That's enough to make anyone think the Heat would win that. Quit trolling bro.

NY beating Miami like that without Melo and Amare says something about that team and thus about the Bobcats. I'm still so surprised at how competitive we are.

Also, it's good to see Felton playing well on a contender. As suspected, he's a guy who looks like an all-star in the right system even though he can look mid-grade or terrible in the wrong one. Knicks made the right call bringing him in there to run the show and playing along side Kidd sure doesn't hurt.
