So the season is over after tonight's loss?

Post#1 » by FlashKing » Fri Dec 7, 2012 4:16 am

King John, is the run over? Should we trade Wade, cut Haslem? It's apparent that after tonight, the Knicks put a fork on our title hopes this season... well at least that's the vibe i'm getting from some of you. Just save yourselves the heartache and stop watching Heat basketball from here on in. Me, I will take my chances.

Lol nah... it's just really annoying seeing heat playing like this at times, Ultimate strip tease to be honest and also a lack of focus and determination... but they fully get naked in the playoffs... ;) LMAO

It's going to happen man whether we like it or not. I felt the same way last year and we won it all. Until I see it in the playoffs, I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Who's crying? I'm not the one hitting the panic button.

Stop it man. We aren't some entitled franchise. We win one title with this core. They don't get a pass to play like a$$ basically the whole season. This in thing to diminish the regular season is getting so played out. We are at the bottom of th NBA in defense man... We lack energy and effort. Were a few plays away from being .500

Yes, it's December and early but our fan base and players need to stop this were invincible attitude, and the arrogance down playing our current flaws

It's always the same story since this these guys came together. They just don't care about the regular season. If you haven't accepted than than that's just too bad. You people are too damn spoiled wanting your cake and eating it to. It's either one or the either. This team is not at that age where they can keep it on throughout the entire season. It's better to save their best for when it really counts and that's the postseason. If Wade gives it his all in December what the hell is he going to have left in April? Why is it so important to you for this team to dominate the regular season? What did that get LeBron in Cleveland?

We're a few plays from being blah blah blah.... the fact is we still won and that's all that counts. There was a time when we couldn't win close games and not that we are it still isn't good enough for some of you. We got our butts kicked. It happens. Those title Lakers team got beaten by the Bobcats on several occasions. I seem to recall Jordans Bulls getting their asses handed to them by the Knicks on a few occasions, what happened in the playoffs? Stop getting worked up over a game that will mean nothing when the postseason starts.

Yeah, we have to be 17-0, averaging double digit victories every game to satisfy some of these crybabies. That's not how it works in the real world/NBA. Even the best get their butts kicked from time to time. Every team will give it their all against us in the regular season. We don't have to because we save it for when it really counts. We've proved it the last 2 years with 2 finals appearances and a championship. What more do you people want. 12-5 record and it's the end of the freaking world here in Heat forum. MY GOD!

Yeah, lets also not acknowledge that the Knicks have to bury almost 20 3's a game to look like contenders. That sh*t isn't continuing in the playoffs. Get off the ledge people.

This.

I do think this team will get their act together come playoff time, as they have done the past seasons.

From: http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/heatzone ... a-problem/

For the fourth time this season, and the second against the Knicks, the Heat was routed.
Or, as LeBron James put it after putting himself through a postgame workout — as if he, with 31 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists was the problem — “They kicked our ass. They have pretty much dominated us in two games.”

That’s the reality, and Thursday the Knicks did so without Carmelo Anthony, hitting 18-of-44 shots from behind the arc.

“We’ve got work to do,” James said. “We can’t act like, OK, let’s just sweep this under the rug. We’ve got a lot of work to do. New York is a real team, they’ve got some real good players, and we understand that.”

....

James continued reiterating that “we’ll be fine,” but then added, “We can’t act like what just happened tonight or in Washington or some of the games that we even won that we probably shouldn’t have won, we can’t act like, ‘OK, we made those things happen.’ We haven’t played like we are capable of playing.”

That’s a complete departure from the sort of stuff James has been saying publicly lately.

And that’s a start.

Some of you newbies just can't understand the thrill of the roller-coaster ride that comes with being a longtime Heat fan.

I'm actually more impressed with this start of the season than any before.

They've learned how to close out games, no more 4th quarter collapses that we saw all the time last 2 seasons. Winning in the finals has given them incredible 4th quarter confidence.

To me, that is the most important thing for a championship team, learning how to close out. All the other regular season defense / offense / small ball or going big / etc etc rah rah rah can come later.

Its all about effort and motivation aat this point.

Its ridiculous all the things that are being said right now. Come playoff time we turn everything around. Look what we went through last years title run almost being eliminated by the celtics. being down in the pacers series when bosh went out. Right now I wouldnt call it coasting but yes we are in a slump. This team knows how to fight from within to win. Cant believe you guys are doubting your own heat team.

It's still early in the season. Nothing to be worried about.

Lack of effort from pretty much everyone but LeBron. However, Knicks great start wont last for long, as where we always pick up the pace later in season.
