First time player. Help on my team

Post#1 » by subwayJ » Thu Dec 6, 2012 11:24 pm

Currently my team is

PG: Deron Williams/Eric Bledsoe
SG: OJ mayo/JJ Redick/ Alexy Shved/Kirk Hinrich
SF: Andre Iguodala/Michael Beasley/Kawhi Leonard
PF: Pau Gasol/Carlos Boozer
C: Nikola Pekovic/Chris Kaman

I obviously juggle my starters based on schedule.

Initially I had Paul George, Kyrie Irving, Taj Gibson . Traded them for Deron Williams, Carlos Boozer, and Michael Beasley. I also dropped Isiah Thomas while adding JJ redick.

My leauge is head to head most categories (points, blocks, steals, assists, rebounds, turnovers, three pointers made, field goal percentage, free throw percentage).

It is also a NON keeper leauge.

I had the 11th pick in the draft (snake)

The top players available are:

Nene
Calderon
Ridnour
Hawes
Brand

What would you suggest? Who would you trade? Who would you drop?

Any help would be great.

U don't have to make any moves, I would try to trade Beasley for a Guard if possible

Gasol and Iggy are under performing.

You suggest just waiting out and hope their averages come back?

How about dropping Beasley and adding Eric Gordan, and sitting on him until he comes back?

Sorry left Gordon of the available players list due to his injury.

This is the main reason you've already lost your league.

Snake drafts are terribly imba.

How so? I thought is was pretty fair. But didn't give it that much attention.

I remember a couple years ago ESPN showed the draft positions that win the most and 11 was top 5. This year, after the big 3 at the top, everyone was pretty similar for the next 15 picks so I don't really see it as a disadvantage. I'm a big fan of 12 because its on the turn. The middle of the draft order is where I find it gets tougher to draft.

I'd drop Beasley for any of those guys. The guy is fantasy poison. 283rd on the season.

Assuming that your memory is accurate, that anecdote doesn't mean anything. Aces can get cracked by AK, but it doesn't mean I'd ever want to be AK v AA.

The basic problem is that pick 25 is much closer to pick 11, on average, than pick 11 is to pick 1.

Nope, Gordon's "making progress" but there's no return in sight.
