Kenyon Martin and Delonte West Anyone?

I swear some of you don't watch basketball.

I wouldn't say Delnota is better by a mile, but he might he better. He's a good defender that moves his feet and can keep his man infront of him (unlike Rio) and he understand how to play in the flow of the offense and be effecite (unlike Cole).

His issue is his head/mental problems, not his skill.

I can't believe people forget how good Delonte was on Cleveland...many nights he was their 2nd best player.

He's a consistent 35-37% 3pt shooter who'd probably shoot better on Miami, he can create at times off the dribble, and he'd EASILY be the best defensive PG on the roster.

As I said on the last page, there is 0 risk in signing him. If he acts up on his minimum contract, he can be cut with basically no damage done. There's no downside and some big upside to be had.

This "headcase" stuff doesn't always matter, sometimes guys just want to win and all that stuff sorts itself out and isn't as serious as the media and fans buying into it make it out to be

Honestly, how are they going to kill the team? You guys should definitely sign Kenyon Martin, and West would be a good addition at guard.

I doubt K-Mart or West would be a problem on a contender like Miami

Riles brought in Walker who was definitely one of those "head-case"-type players people would overreact to because he was a bit emotional or wanted to play a bit more or took a few bad shots...

I also remember Riles pursuing Artest a couple times when he was coming back from suspension and when he was a FA

Highlights from a headcase from 4 years ago is gonna prove to me that Delonte West is a better fit for this team than Mario Chalmers.

Have you people not realized, its not about "names", its about chemistry. Whether you guys like it or not, Mario Chalmers is perfect for this team. And yes he makes mistakes but so does every other NBA player outside of Lebron. Stop expecting perfection. Its simply not how this league is built.

Its not a coincidence that NO OTHER TEAM has picked up this guy.

I don't like either one with you, honestly. I agree with those that emphasize chemistry, and both of them would have a negative impact on the team chemistry. West moreso than K-Mart. I'm surprised at the lack of interest league-wide for Kenyon, he did well with the Clips last year. Chalmers has been great with y'all, and while Cole's hasn't been performing very well this year, I think he fits with the Heat. That being said, if you were to perform a trade for somebody, Cole would be near the top of tradeable players.

It's not just about the PG, West can also play SG if Wade or Allen miss some games. Cole and Rio can't do that.
Plus every great team needs that one guy that's cuckoo for cocoa puffs, West can fill that role nicely.
