Game Notes
•The Hawks snapped the Grizzlies’ five-game home winning streak and handed Memphis just their second loss in their last 22 games at FedExForum… Tonight marks the Grizzlies’ largest margin of defeat (10) this season, one more than the nine-point loss in the season opener on Oct. 31 at LA Clippers.
•The Hawks recorded its ninth win in its last 10 games and improved to 5-2 on the road this season.
•Atlanta held Memphis to .429 shooting one night after the Grizzlies shot .500 at New Orleans… The Hawks are the only team in the league this season not to allow an opposing team to shoot at least .500.

•The Hawks scored 15 fastbreak points tonight compared to just five by the Grizzlies… Atlanta entered tonight leading the league in fastbreak points, averaging 17.3 per game.
•The Grizzlies, among the league leaders in forced turnovers, turned the Hawks over 16 times but were only able to score five points off those miscues.
•Atlanta won for the 10th time in the last 12 matchups with the Grizzlies dating back to the 2006-07 season.

If we have problems with up tempo teams that could pose a problem if we ever get far in the playoffs. Westbrook is tough to contain in transition and then the Heat are outstanding in that respect.

That is a good concern to address. With the lock down defense the Grizz employ, they have to do a better job protecting the rim and keep teams like the Hawks from turning up the tempo on offense and catch the Grizz nappin.
