Rate my recent trade please!

Post#1 » by CTT » Mon Dec 10, 2012 6:29 am

I just traded Conley, Griffin, and Redick for Paul George, LMA, and Lou Williams

First off, my team was before:

pg: Rondo, Lowry, Conley
sg: Afflalo, Redick
sf: G Wallace, MKG
pf, Love, Griffin, Zbo, Faried
c: B Lopez, Pekovic

So i traded an excess PG for a valuable wing in Paul George which I desperately needed. I upgraded from Redick to Lou as well. Only concern is going from Griffin to LMA which is still to be determined.

I feel confident with:

Rondo, Lowry
Afflalo, Lou Williams
George, Wallace, MKG
Love, LMA, Zbo, Faried
Lopez, Pekovic

How did I do?

You want 3 PGs, not 2. You did not have an excess of PGs.

Conley for LMA is fair.

Griffin for George is fair.

Redick for Lou is alright, I guess.

It's good to dump Griffin but I think you could've got more. I wouldn't of acquired Lou.

And NEVER EVER do you "Desperately need" a SG/SF. There are 95829829 feasible cheap replacements for SG/SF. Gordon Hayward comes to mind. Speaking of, everyone should hop all over Hayward.

Gordon Hayward wasn't available and I'm extremely high on George. It seems like he has been hitting his true Paul Pierce-like potential. Especially with Granger out so long. I think Redick is also going to drop off soon I can't picture his play lasting and Afflalo continuing to slump.

Griffin I am a little worried about, but I also am a big fan of LMA and love his ability to score from anywhere from inside to mid range. Also LMA's free throw shooting is a big plus.

Value wise this wasn't a bad trade but you are really thin at PG now.

I think Overall you won the trade, the only cats you would be losing in are FG%, steals, and assists. Everywhere else is positive. If your team can stay strong in FG%, steals, and assists then it's worth it.

Any time you get rid of Griffin its good. But now you need to get another pg through free agency or trade. Rubio if he is on the waiver would be good. Farried/rand for a pg would be a good move to make.
