Ellis is basically a more consistent, more "on" Brown.

Not a guy who will lead you anywhere.

Again....getting Dragic was one of the few things this FO has done in the past few seasons, so getting another ball-dominant player to take away his touches does not make any sense to me.

There are 2 players that I pray our FO doesn't target in free-agency. They are Monta Ellis and Tyreke Evans. Both are undersized chuckers, who play no defense, and have extremely hot/cold streaks. No thanks.

We're on the same page.

A more consistent Brown. Exactly. A guy who can fill up buckets consistently. A player who led GS to thier best seasons in recent times. A player that has vastly helped the Bucks. If you look at the Line-up i posted you would notice that we make Dragic a SG, a role where i think he would preform way way better. Seems to me he does a better job when Telfair is controlling the flow with the ball in his hands. Ellis is lightning fast and can penetrate, something we desperately lack from ALL of our players.

Undersized? Is 6'3 undersized for a PG? i think not. As for being a chucker, people kill me with that label. Kobe is a chucker. So is Westbrook. So is Wade. So is Lebron. Are you telling me you wouldnt take any of them because they are a chucker? Most of the best players in the league are chuckers.

As for defense, you must havent watched him play in the past 3 years. He can be a pitbull defending opposing PG's and has some great basketball IQ. He is at damn near 2 steals a game, and is averaging roughly 19 points, 5.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds as a SG. Thats with the ball in Jennings hands most of the time!

Sure he gets hot/cold spells, ALL PLAYERS DO! Name me a player who doesnt.

Ellis/Dragic/Tucker/Morris/Sanders.

I dont want him on the Suns, but how the hell do you consider Evans undersized? Yeah, he might be undersized.....for a PF. Dude is 6'7! Thats average size for a SF, let alone huge for a PG/SG!

You're right, Reke isn't undersized, I didn't read the response in full.

I still think Ellis is fool's gold. I'm a little tired right now but I'll look at the advanced stats. IIRC, they all point him to be a net-negative player.

Derp...I meant to say just Ellis, but all other things apply to Tyreke as well.

I'd rather just stay away from any high priced FA next year(except Howard who wouldn't come anyway).

Oh I would do this trade in a heartbeat.

If Dragic can become a stout defender, then this solves most of our problems. Dragic would just have to guard the bigger SGs of the league.

Have you seen Dragic play this season? He's probably our 3rd worst defender, behind Beasley and Scola.

Ellis expires after this season. If we want him we could just make a run at him in free agency. While I don't think it's worthwhile trading Gortat for him, I certainly don't mind him. He's been on some bad teams in his career and while he's in all likely hood not a 1st option, he's not as much of a chucker as he seems. 46% career FG percentage believe it or not.

Well he's shooting a career low so far this year 38% I believe.

I know. I just don't think Ellis could be a top 3 player on a contending team. The one time Golden State made the playoffs in 06, Ellis came off the bench. Maybe he needs to go back to the bench again.

Yea I know but he used to be a good defender in Houston and in his previous run with us.

So if he can get back into that form, then him and Ellis would be a successful backcourt imo.

We're not trading for Ellis to become title contenders and compete with Miami and OKC. We're trading for him to help us become a playoff team since the FO is all about that.

Is there any way in the cosmos we could potentially pair ellis and jsmoove within the offseason?

Well, it would be hard to get any top level FA here (Smith) with our current roster, What you would have to do is trade for a real good player, that way you can convince the top FA's that we will be building a contender.

Id give Kings a ring and see what would it take to get Cousins.

A headache now but potential to be a 6'11 Zach Randolph... Randolph matured up and look at him be the leagues top inside scorer...

Gortat + Dudley + 2013 top 10 protected pick.

Another dream trade lol

It would take way way more than that.

To start we would need to take back at least 1 (maybe 2) bad deals. Salmons would be coming back, and maybe Garcia as well.

Cousins/Salmons/Garcia for Gortat/Marshall/Johnson's expiring/future pick might get it done, but i still wouldnt do it.

I would. Cousins is an absolute stud.

I would trade the Sun, Moon and Stars to get him.
