Please don't ever mention Murphy to Charlotte again. He's been beyond washed up for years now.

I'd prefer McGuire or JaJuan Johnson. Hell, I might even take Eddy Curry over Murphy.

I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on Henry Sims. Georgetown alumni bigs always seem to have a reputation for being willing passers, something we can't really say about our current reserves in the frontcourt like Hakim Warrick.

Murphy would be worth a minimum solely for the small role he would have. Not a perfect solution, but still.

Sims just played his first game for the Erie BayHawks. His line 8 pts 12 rebs in 23 mins shows promise, but 4 turnovers and especially 5 fouls in 20 mins hint at trouble. Worth watching.

Justin Harper 6'10 225 PF, 23, former ORL pick, has had a strong start in the D League, avg 20/7 in first couple games.
High release coming off a 6-foot-10 frame and a tender shooting touch make him a tough matchup. Needs to pack on some bulk and strength, but he's already put on 20 pounds of muscle since coming to the NBA two years ago.

Honestly I think DJ White would be worth another look at this point. He was always able to score, his money midrange shot would be nice to have from that four spot.

I know his defense was always bad, but maybe under Dunlap he would look better. Outside of a trade, its not like there is any better options.

Its frustrating when Mullens misses defensive plays, you want to add Dj as well?

Too similar to Mullens but with less upside. No thanks.

He would be better then Diop, an offensive liability. Warrick who doesnt really contribute anything.

White at least had some good rebounding games and could put up 15 points any given night.

Where is Sean Williams these days? He can block shots, rebound, score off nice dishes in the paint, and hit the occasional midrange jump shot

This guy is a former Clemson player, 6'9, 230. Has 3 triple doubles in 3 games, avg 19/13. Hey Cho, give him a call and give him a look, what can it hurt?

James Mays - Springfield Armor - F

A 23 point and 17 rebound effort by James Mays helped lift the Armor past the Charge in its season opening overtime win. Mays plays like a true power forward who aggressively faces up and attacks defensively.

He plays strong, finishes well at the rim and, pulls down the rebounds on both ends of the floor. The forward has speed and size, which helps him play either on the perimeter or down low, depending on the situation. Double-doubles often lead to call-ups and, it appears that Mays is capable of producing quite a few of them.

You shouldn't have shown the video. I was intrigued up until that point.
Could still be a player though.

Come on, at least D-Will has potential and isn't a washed-up version of someone we already have!

Yes, but at what point do you say to yourself okay this kid has not done enough to realize his potential to warrent committing assets to his aquisition? If we could get him in a steal of a trade by all means let's do so, but all of your trades envolve us using assets to get him. Our assets should be used to aquire an established player not a player with potential unless that potential is off the charts. DWill is a 6'8 four in a world dominated by fours 6'10 and bigger his potential is not off the charts. In other words we can easily draft or sign a four that equals his productivity and keep our assets.

maybe we should all pool our resources and go on scouting trips to d-league games and then mail dvd highlights of the d-league bigs to cho.

there has to be somebody out there who is available and better than warrick and diop.

slightly off topic, make-believe question of the week

if you could add one big man from the list below to the bobcats starting in 2013 on a 4 year deal, which player would you add and why? which player would be the best fit for our current roster. lets assume this big man is the only big free agent we are going to sign so the player has to fit with the core of - kemba, MKG, taylor and biz, mully, hendo, sessions, haywood, gordon, tyrus and our rookie for 2013

Easily Dwight Howard, but I'm so tempted to say Kevin Love
