I dunno. A win is a win. I'll take it. Sometimes it's nice to know you can win a game ugly. Give the Wizards a little credit for their D. They held New Orleans to 28 points in the entire 2nd half.

Yeah, certainly not rejoicing, but a solid win after how bad they were in the first half.

Ryan Anderson had 17 first half points and ended that way.

Anderson was shut down the entire 2nd half after 17 pts in the first.

And Kevin S really rebounded a lot better. 8 rebounds 7 defensive in 16 minutes. Well done young man.

Nene ended up with 10 rebounds in 20 minutes.

I think a rebound ever two minutes is a decent pace. I'll take it.

The Hornets are the worst team in the West. They stink. Yet they made it extremely tough on us. I don't take anything else away from this game other than that.

Vessley continues to cement his bust status and my proclamation that he's the next Yaroslav Koralev. 0-2 from the line, 0-1 from the field and 1 PF.

Both teams shot 33% from the field so it was a good game to pad the rebounding stats.

I was encouraged by what i saw from Beal. Also Seraphin actually posted up, worked his way inside and scored at the rim on his last basket. I had to rewind it to make sure i wasn't just imagining things.

the offense really sucked. Sure Crawford took at lot of shots but realistically Crawford forcing a shot is probably better than some of the other guys taking open shots.

How true. As much as we complain about Crawford's shot jacking, on this team he's the guy you want with the ball in his hands...even when he's forcing shots.

And we are the worst team in the league? From the way the Wizards has been playing all year, did you somehow expect them to blow them out by 20 and score over 100 points? Most of their games this season has been close loss, ugly games....Only difference in this one is that they won.

Which is an indictment of the team, not exculpation of Crawford for taking some of those shots.

We have a .167 winning percentage. Though I don't come around enough to know whether the majority of comments should be classified as "bitching," I think we're entitled to voice frustration. This team is pathetic.

The Davis kid is pretty impressive. I thought he would be playing center and getting pushed around his first year. At PF, he is quick and fluid. Made a really nice move on Nene in transition.

Kid shoots a confident FT which is impressive for a big man so young.

Not bad for his first game back.

Reminds me of a higher IQ McGee but at PF. McGee would have loved getting slotted there instead of center. Poor McGee. If he was only 2 inches shorter or stayed in college longer so he was more established.

A win is nice, but my biggest takeaway is that Beal looked competent, and AT LEAST looked better than Rivers. Thought that says absolutely nothing because Rivers is a complete turd, but whatever. Nice stats from Beal, seeing slow improvement from him. Looks like the game isn't moving super fast for him as much as before.

2 rebounds and 1 assist in 4 minutes.

That FT air ball was not good. But Buck said he is the first in the gym so at least he is working.

Not to offend but I think the Wizards should be happy with any win they can get with Crawford at PG. Beal is playing better. That alone is progress.

Everyone should feel free to voice their opinion, but I seconded the OP because I think a win on the road is a win to cherish.

Also, NO scored 70 points. The Hornets average 92.6 -- so, it's not all bad.

Yes, I do recall your bearish impression (hands) of Davis, which was an unconventional opinion if nothing else. Rumors of Beal's demise as a prospect are also looking somewhat exaggerated. He's broadly useful if not yet an exceptional shot creator and (as a rookie no less) actually very competent defensively. Which is to say he's the inverse of the man he replaced, Nick Young. I'm for that trade, as I expect consistent shooting is an easier addition to one's repertoire than "generally playing basketball."
