It's being reported by multiple sources, including Ken Rosenthal.

There is also rumours that the Angels will now attempt to put a package together for R.A. Dickey.

"The Rumour" is that they'll go after Dickey with a package revolving around Peter Bourjos.

An outfield of Hamilton, Trout and Trumbo is pretty crazy.

They'll definitely be looking to trade from an area of strength, for sure.
Imagine adding Dickey and Hamilton without a few weeks of one another (hypothetically).
That's pretty impressive, assuming they remain healthy and there isn't an enormous drop-off from their production last year.

Indeed! Not a bad lineup either :o

I look forward to 2016/2017 when Angels fans fondly remember 2011/2012 as the years they only had Wells' albatross contract on their roster.

That being said, it should be a pretty damn strong lineup next year. If they get Dickey for Bourjos plus package it's great, 'cause they need pitching more than Hamilton right now. Having that much invested in your roster and Hanson/Blanton as your 3/4 is pretty gross.

I'm wondering what Texas does now with the money they were trying to use on Josh.
Once the FA's thin out a bit, there will be some wiggle room for some possible trade scenarios that may not have existed (or at the forefront) previously.

Pitching is still a weakness, if they can shore that up (Dickey or FA) look out.

Perhaps this now makes Michael Bourn an option in Texas?

Yeah, it will be interesting for sure! I am thinking they look into signing Swisher perhaps to help replace Hamilton? (Since they don't want to part with Andrus or Profar for Upton) And you're right, i am sure more opportunities could open up within' the next week or so once the FA market thins out some more.

Sign Bourn and Sanchez, trade Andrus for more pitching, get Olt and Profar into the lineup.

TEX's problem in this regard is that they're reasonable. Yes they have money to spend, but they have a logic to how much to pay a player and will not go over just to win the battle. It means FA is always going to be a problem for them against the biggest clubs who seem to be willing to pay enormous premiums for elite FA players. So Bourn and Sanchez really aren't that likely as there's still at least a few psycho's out there willing to spend beyond what TEX knows those players to be worth.

Word is that Texas is upset at Hamilton because (supposedly) they asked him to return to Texas last, and they'd match any final offer. The way I see it, they could've signed him, took a chance, let him because an RFA and now they have to sleep in the bed they made.

man, LA teams are spending like crazy!

That's a sick OF for the Angels.

Texas seems to be losing a bit of offensive power, even if they sign Swisher.

I thought he might get more than that... still, there are a few BIG contracts in LAA-land.
