That Caron tried to keep chucking 3s [Draymond Green style]. Only after he got traded to Washington did he stop chucking 3s and decided he was a primer defender.

Monroe says he's comfortable playing 4 as well as 5 (seem to be making way for Drummond):

Lakers Caron was definitely not Wizards Caron. A switch was flipped the second he got traded, kinda like when Larry Hughes went to Washington.

I think it's embarrassing that Ricky Rubio, who hasn't played a game this year, has received significantly more All-Star votes than Curry. The whole fan voting thing is dumb -- I'm perfectly content with the coaches picking the entire roster.

Eh the Allstar game is pretty meaningless, it's just for for the fans and fun. I don't think I've made a conscious effort to sit down and watch it besides when I was a kid.

Damn no more Hollinger at ESPN. Will they keep his rankings? They're pretty bad considering that the Warriors are still at 12 and finally just moved ahead of the Lakers (by one spot).

Let us hope there isn't a Hollinger disciple waiting in the wings to continue with his ridiculous advanced stats and rankings.

Announcers really don't know what's going around in the league. I wonder how some of them even have jobs

Kobe is an Ass...has always been....

Just read the little article where he says that "Dwight is coming along..maturing..." That's typical Kobe, by saying this he is acting like Dwight is some kind of rookie or something...."coming along" what an ASS.

Good way of convincing Dwight to go elsewhere. Good job Kobe, keep it up.

Don't see what's wrong with that. Dwight IS immature, and doesn't show a lot of intensity or emotion when they lose. And he's been a big part of some of their losses. In Stephen A Smith's interview with Kobe he elaborates on some of the stuff like Dwight's FTs and he NEEDS to start caring about the fact that he sucks. He can't be smiling and shaking his head when he misses, because he's costing his team games. I have no problem with Kobe calling out his current team's lack of intensity and focus. They are not all to blame as his defense and turnovers are a huge problem and his playmaking has been subpar, but he's the only one who seems to care right now in LA.

Kobe's stopped caring at all on defense, though. He's always looked to conserve energy on D but it's gotten far more blatant this year.

Insisting that your teammates put more effort into the "work" parts of the game while you concentrate on the "fun" parts - ballhandling and shooting - doesn't really work.

That Curry and Lee - with far less natural defensive ability - are both playing good defense for the Warriors rather than carrying an "I score, you guys play defense" attitude makes a big difference.

I think the Dubs get screwed at the end of the year. When it comes to being most improved team, Coach of the Year or Exe of the Year. Clips win by default getting the LA love and national attention that goes with the team.

GS might not win any awards, but there's no way the Clips get Coach or Exec of the Year (unless people vote for Paul as coach of the year - Del Negro certainly won't get votes).

The Knicks are far more likely to get those type of awards.

But based on marked game improved in total wins from last yr. The Dubs should be the winner but it's still early. Based on the NY and the Clips were both playoff teams

Watch out for the TWolves now that they have Rubio back (9 assists, 4 reb, 3 stl, 2 tos in just 18 minutes). They're now 6th best record behind us (5th) @ 12-9. Looks like it might be us and them unseating a couple of perennial playoff teams this year. Kinda just crept up there into the playoff picture.

I can see MJ winning COTY.... Sam Mitchell won it for Toronto a few years back when they pretty much doubled their win total in one season.
