Andrea Bargnani: 'If I play bad it is my problem but If Raptors lose each year then it's several people's problem.'

holy crap - there has to be something lost in translation there. who would actually 1) have such a poor grasp of reality 2) say this out loud?

whatever the Caliper test is, not sure if it's robust given AB's results and his thought process to date

We're the worst team because of you. Once traded, your new team will become the worst team in the NBA.

I hope we trade him and he plays crappy and is ridiculed by his new team.

At this stage, trade that POS for ANYONE

I would even suspend him indefinitely (for the rest of the season) and amnesty him in the summer.

I don't understand how you are defending this right now.

In a team, no matter how bad the team might be, you can't just come out and flat out say that your team sucks.

That won't go well with the fans and definitely won't go over well with his teammates. As bad as they are, they need to be on the same page. This proves what a lot of the rumours have been saying about Bargnani. About how he doesn't get along with his teammates and always keeps to himself. Even if they are a terrible team, this doesn't do much for the team's morale.

This is turning out to be an even bigger circus show than what's happening with the Lakers. At least they've got people staying positive in their locker room, who are hopeful for a turnaround. Poor judgement by Bargnani. Just trade him already and put an end to this.

Several people's problem. A shot at the management. BC/Maurizio must be livid with him! :D

his comments are infuriating even more than his on-court performance

for those of us who work, he reminds me of the coworker who gripes at everything, saps morale, and blames others for shortcomings without recognizing his own, let alone proactively thinking about how he can contribute towards a solution. all of this while collecting a nice paycheque.

infuriating

Derozan says at least,..we're better than our record shows. That's at least better.

Anyways, we will go on a modest win streak without Bargs. I can see it now. We just need to get a couple of guys healthy and get Lowry on track.

I wonder what Bargs will say, when we start winning without him.

Let's see us "start winning without him". He's missed the better part of three games and we haven't won one of those three. We're not likely to win the next two either. Our offensive and defensive numbers both trend down when he's out. The better defence is good, the worse offence is bad. To me, we are pretty much in the same place without him, which is not good.

It was just the majority of the LA game, and the game against Portland that he missed (from what I recall). Anyways, even with a full strength lineup, winning on the west coast road trip was more of a hope rather than it being realistic. It's the way we competed that irks most people.

Part of the reason why I think we will steal a few games, is the home games we have upcoming. Of course, we're not all of a sudden going to change the whole season around. But, I think, the games will be more competitive.
Prediction
Spurs in 7. Parker MVP. Lebron 6-17fg, 18pt, 8reb, 5 asst in game 7 LOSS.
The Heat will choke!

LOL! Makes no sense.

And why do we need him anyways? If a player plays bad, then it lowers the team's chance of winning, especially if that player plays significant minutes, he will affect the outcome of games.

You know, I always thought Jason Kapono was the funniest guy this team ever had. Turns out, I was wrong.

Andrea's Offensive Rating might pass for a speed limit on most highways, but his Comedy Rating is off the charts.

I understand what bargnani is saying with the last quotes posted but what he means is that if you want to put me as a franchise player at least surround me with talent. I've played well at times (last year) and we were still losing, so it's not entirely my fault.

Honestly I agree with him but he's just not franchise player material...at this point he's serviceable when he shoots less with better shot seletections. He could be very reliable sometimes but we can't rely on him entirely. We will beneficiate with him playing max 30 minutes a game once we acquire a good player.

The thing about playing without Bargnani is that the sample size is too small. Also, not only did Amir miss the last game, but Lowry is out too. I bet you that everyone healthy minus Bargnani, and you give this team 5-10 games together, you'll see what this team was really supposed to be at the beginning of the season. And when I say everybody healthy, I'm not even including Fields and Anderson. Just need Amir, Lowry, and Kleiza back with the boys and this team could start rolling.

He didn't say he's not franchise material. He just called his team the worst in the league.

He's a POS. straight and simple. I wouldn't want his sorry ass on the bench even.

Honestly, I wish they just keep him on the bench and make him ROT. live with the bad contract but don't even give him a chance with another team.

I like how Bargnani is souring on the team. Hopefully this will end BC's man-crush on Bargnani and trade him already.

It reminds me of the Simpson's episode where Homer is the coach of the football team and made Bart his star. This is the same as Bart telling Homer that everyone knows he sucks and to essentially give up on him haha. Let him go Bryan!

He can become the Eddy Curry of our team....

I guess the whole not being held accountable by the coaches and managers have also gotten into his head. He himself doesn't seem to take any blame whatsoever. I'm am very convinced that if he played significant minutes for another team, that team will become the new worst team. Even the Spurs would become bottom feeders if he played 40mins/game for them. Now of course Pops would never allow this bum to even see the floor for 1 min. Not enough room for 2 Matt Bonners on the team.

He missed the Memphis game which we lost by 21 points, most of the Portland game and Wednesday night's game. Like I said - the better part of three games.
