I know reports had him going to the Cubs, but Rosenthal is reporting it's the Tigers that won out on his services. Not good news for us as he bolsters an already-deep Tigers' rotation. I would've much rather had him pitching for the hapless Cubs.

I was going to just keep using the Anibal/Cubs thread, but flat and hendrix need a timeout. I didn't think the Tigers would do this, but they are really strong. I'd say class of the AL even after LAA's moves and whatever else NYY does. If Vmart comes back anywhere close to prior and Hunter is even close to what he was last year, that rotation and lineup is outrageous. Their infield defense is still atrocious and they need a closer (Brian Wilson on a 1 year reclamation deal?), but IMO they're the scariest team in baseball as of today.
