RGM's Top 25 Most Valuable Players - Vote for #1

Post#1 » by Trader_Joe » Sat Dec 15, 2012 5:42 pm

Real GM's TnT Board Top 25 Most Valuable Players

1.

With December 15th here, seems now is as good a time as any for our annual list of players with the most trade value. After this is done we will move on to the annual list of players with the most negative trade value.

Please vote for the player that you think currently has the most trade value and please list a nominee that should be added the voting list. Remember this is trade value, so factors such as salary/contract, age, potential, production, injuries, etc. should all be factored in to your vote.

The current nominees based upon last year's top 10:

Kevin Durant

LeBron James

Derrick Rose

Blake Griffin

Dwight Howard

With the poll in place, please be sure to write in your nomination

VOTE: LeBron
NOMINATE: Westbrook

LeBron is probably the most valuable player on the court, but he is most definitely the most valuable player off it.

Nice to see these again, thanks TJ!

This is probably the easiest one on the board. LeBron is the league's best player and biggest ticket.

Vote: LeBron James
Nominate: Westbrook. This part of the question was a lot tougher, though. (Davis? Kyrie?)

I'm shocked Durant won last year, otherwise I feel we should skip #1.. and #2 (assuming it is KD)

Thanks for doing this TJ. It seems fitting to start it on December 15th since it's the unofficial start of trading season, and we'll have the top pieces in place long before the trade deadline.

Can you post a link to the last years?

I suppose things have changed for some voters; last year around this time LBJ was coming off a spectacular failure. This year he is coming off an equally spectacular triumph, and the fact that he head-to-head clearly outclassed Durant while doing it doesn't hurt either.

That said, I voted for LeBron last year without any hesitation either :)

All the more reason to do this based upon only the typed in votes, versus the poll. It forces some extra accountability, or that, oops, god don;t let anyone look and see I had Wall higher then Curry or whatever it was. :)

Oh, and
