Because nene makes the sams amount of money that just made them balk in acquiring all-star James Harden

so a lot of Raptors fans say Hump for Bargs in a heartbeat lol, and that they don't even think they would get someone as highly valued as Hump even for Bargs! I'm just kinda throwing this one out there... I mean we do have Mirza but still, Bargnani is more established in the NBA than he is.

Hump/MarShon or a 1st for Nene?

Sounds good to me.

Helps WAS tank, get a higher draft pick, and saves them money.

they could get a first with a better chance at the lotto from someone else. and they seem to be tanking fine already WITH nene

Brooks+ for Gerald Henderson+

I'd lvoe to do a swap like this. we get a young athletic gaurd in contrast to stack/bogans but also a guy with a much higher bbiq then brooks.

although not sure Brooks is an MJ kinda guy.

I would love Gerald Henderson in this team. Great slashing guard who fits well next to D-Will and Joey

Bargs is much more talented than Hump.

I'd make the trade just out of respect for value, but I bet he wouldn't/shouldn't get any minutes

Bobcats Trades:
Gerald Henderson
Tyrus Thomas

Bargs

Nets Trades

To be honest, I'd actually really welcome a trade of Humphries for Boozer. Boozer is not a great defender, but I also think his reputation for being a poor one is unwarranted. He's ok, he knows how to position himself, and is a good rebounder. And he's SOOO much better offensively than Humphries, him and D-Will were surgical with the PnR in Utah, and would be again. He can also hit a midrange jumper.

We should target someone like Nene, Gasol, or Boozer imo...these are guys that have legitimate skills at the 4 that are huge improvements over Humphries, and are potentially available for peanuts, because of their contract/age/injuries/effectiveness with their current team.

I'm on the Boozer train as well. His effort on defense is going to be pretty much the same level as Kris but he'll rebound just as effectively and score alot better.

Boozer/Lopez is a really good frontline to compliment Joe/Deron.

You have to salary match first. On top of that, no one is going to give them a lotto 1st round pick for Nene. The value of that pick is way too high.

I thought I heard a few weeks back that MJ really likes Henderson. Could be wrong though...

id be pretty happy with boozer if all it took was hump and brooks. its only 1 extra year as opposed to hump. worst case we just need to wait 1 year longer to deal boozer as an expiring.

Wish we'd have given him Mirza's money in hindsight:

Mirza
Brooks

for

Gerald Green

Greens athleticism is really what we need from the wing. we dont have much explosiveness on this roster. he can also shoot the 3, plays hard and wont kill you on defense. i know this wont ever happen, but if offered would you take it?

Do you think Kenyon Martin and Reggie Evans could split 40-44 mpg at the PF spot over the course of 60+ games?

if so we could sign kmart and try move brooks/humps for wing help... something maybe like:

Humphries/Brooks for Green/Courtney Lee: Helps boston in the rebounding department

PG: Deron Williams - CJ Watson - Tyshon Taylor
SG: Joe Johnson - Courtney Lee - Keith Bogans
SF: Gerald Wallace - Jeff Green - Jerry Stackhouse
PF: Reggie Evans - Kenyon Martin
C: Brook Lopez - Andray Blatche

could even use green at the 4 at times. or go psuedo small with wallace/green at the 3/4 spots.

Not sure if this was answered ITT yet, but it's January 15th.

Stipulation in the CBA says any player re-signed using Bird Rights to a deal in which they get a raise of over 20% from their prior season's salary to the first year of their new deal cannot be dealt before January 15th if said team is over the cap.

The language is a touch murky and ambiguous though. If Hump was technically re-signed before Wallace and Brook, Tele, etc. and we were still below the cap after signing him, he should be available for trade today, but apparently that doesn't seem to be the case.

Why is another lotto team going to want him, especially giving up their pick with mediocre protection?
