Re: The Trade Thread
Doubt we have what it takes to trade for Aldridge.
We'd undoubtedly have to trade at least one of MKG/Bismack and I'm personally not too inclined to do that

I don't think so either, but if we had a choice between LMA and Love, it's a no-brainer in my mind which one I'd pick
investigate Adam Silver

lol well that's kind of a silly argument don't you think? (Not trying to be an ass)
I'd rather have LeBron than Love too, but that's not going to happen either. At the very Least, Love is somewhat realistic considering what seems to be a turbulent relationship between him and the Franchise.

Re: The Trade Thread
Most people seem to think that LMA has equal (or slightly less) value than Love and I've had to state my case multiple times on that subject.
Aldridge isn't untouchable. They could choose to trade him for a ton of picks and young talent and it's probably something they should consider given their situation.

Biz is only 20. Only God knows what kind of game he will have 10 years from now. Even if we stood a chance at trading for him. Kevin is not a long 4 who can do those things. He is an average size four who can do those things.

20+ games gone..How do we get better?

Could we make a trade to improve our scoring in the paint??? Marc Spears at Yahoo indicates we are actively shopping Henderson? Diops and Rwills Expiring have to be attractive ...But which Teams and for What players.?
OR...Is our plan to do nothing?...Cho has said draft the best player available and trade for position need.
Lets throw out some ideas via trade checker and discuss:
1.
Would the NYK be interested in parting with Stoudamire,Copeland,Brewer expiring for Hendo,Rwill expiring, Diop expiring and TT.. trade checker 6180882? What would a Kemba/Stoudamire combination mean to our team? How many more years at age 30 can Stoudamire go20-10 a night? Would TT play better as a NYK for a defensive minded coach who could handle him? What could NYK do with FA after the season was over having allot money available after this trade? Pairing Hendo with Felton gives the NYK a solid backcourt for the future.
2.
Love is not happy in Minnesota and the Wolves are trying to dump Williams for something.....Would they consider sending both to us for Hendo, Diop's expiring,TT, Portlands GW trade pick and Detroits Maggette trade 1st round lottery picks? ..Trade Checker 6180894. Do we need to throw in Mully? Kemba with Love would be awesome
Your Thoughts or other ideas to make us better?

Even though the value falls largely in our favor I don't like this trade. We're on year two of the tank. We just have to ride it out. Adding STAT would improve us, but it would only put us back into lottery hell. We need to suck and get another top 5 draft pick. Next season or the season after is where I can see us making such a trade.
Would they consider sending both to us for Hendo, Diop's expiring,TT, Portlands GW trade pick and Detroits Maggette trade 1st round lottery picks?
No way MIN does this. Love is a corner stone and they are not going to trade their best player who has 3 years on his deal for a few minor assets.

Re: The Trade Thread
Some trade ideas that strike me as more realistic value for Hendo:
Brandon Wright (992k/1 yr) & Dohntay Jones (2.9/1 yr). I've noticed Wright's playing time has dwindled recently w/ Kaman playing well. Could we steal the young big? Problem: DAL may not want another swing man with Mayo, Carter. Would take Domnique Jones(1.27/ 1yr) instead of Dohntay if they prefer.
Dante Cunningham (2/2 yr) + MEM 1st. Everybody wants Derrick Williams. I'd rather have the guy who starts ahead of him, gives you 8/5 on 50% like clockwork, and does it for 2mln/. Plus a draft pick. (though I don't think Cho likes Cunningham).
Greg Smith (762/2yrs). HOU has a surfeit of PFs. Smith is 6'10, 250 with huge hands, only 21yo. In recent games he's put up 21/9 + 3 blocks v. LAL w/ Gasol, 20/6 + 3 blocks v BOS & 13/3 in 15 mins v UTH, so he can play against talented bigs. Would also love to discuss Montejunas (1.3/4yrs) who's beasting in the D League (26/12 & 20/12 last 2 games) or Terrence Jones, but I don't think HOU would part with either of those 2.
Anthony Randolph (1.6/3 yrs) - looks likes he's starting to "get it" but still having trouble cracking the deep bigs rotation in DEN. I would love to nab Kosta Koufos (3/3yrs) but they prob won't trade him with his favorable contract. Don't knkow if they want Hendo with Iggy/Brewer, etc, but W/McGee, Koufos, Mozgov, Faried, Randolph looks expendable.
Samuel Dalembert for Hendo + Reggie. I don't really like Dalembert, but he's expiring, out of favor in MIL, and asking for more playing time.
Others who might work:
Jonas Jerebko
Darrell Arthur or M.Speights
Jason Smith
James Johnson
Josh McRoberts + pick or Kyle O'Quinn
Kwame Brown.

It is rare to trade size for a SG, especially when Henderson is such a marginal player. Some of you act like Hendo is gold. He's an OK player, sort of a jack of all trades, master of none. Greg Smith (per Snidely's post) would be an interesting option here. I'm for any post player that has shown real potential to score, board and play some D. Smith seems to fit that. Is he a sure thing? Hardly.
For that matter, those who speak of Biz as having limitless upside are not being realistic. He is improving, but Biz will never be a go-to player, will struggle at the 4 (due to lack of offense) and at the 5 (due to his height/lack of bulk). By struggle I do not mean he cannot be an asset; I just don't see him as a cornerstone of our starting lineup. He would be great off the bench covering either spot for quality minutes defensively.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

You seem to be misunderstanding. We are not saying that we expect him to be a go to player. What we are saying about Biz is that he is to young, and to athletic to put limits on. Let's just be patient, and see what kind of player he becomes.
How bulky do you expect him to be at 20? If you think a nineteen year old is supposed to come into the league looking like Karl Malone then you are being unrealistic. That never happens.

Re: The Trade Thread
People who want to trade Biz must make a lot of decisions on impulse or clearly have an agenda for this team....You don't bail on a project this early, that's foolish at best.
As far as Hendo goes...it's too soon to deal him, maybe at the deadline if something wow's you..otherwise...keep the team as is.

Re: The Trade Thread
How someone can say Biz doesn't have the size to play C just baffles me. He's less than an inch shorter than Dwight and has longer arms, while having better bulk at the same point in their careers

And you're not even an optimist. The guy is quick enough to guard the perimeter, that doesn't mean he's somehow too fast to guard a center! People are weird

Why are you people even saying we need a starting PF? We don't, we have one and his name is Bismack Biyombo. He is averaging 6.2 ppg and 8.6 rpg since being named a starter 5 games ago. So why in the world we would stunt his growth by trading for a PF and especially not Ed Davis, the #'s I posted basically are Davis so the thought of trading for him to me sounds ridiculous. If anything we need a C as I am not sure Mully is the long term answer.
