Looks like Michael Young has had a change of heart. Per ESPN, he is leaning towards accepting the trade to Philly sometime Saturday.

Andruw Jones signs to play in Japan

The Rakuten Eagles of Japan's Pacific League say they are set to sign veteran major league outfielder Andrew Jones.

The 35-year-old Jones became a free agent after playing for the New York Yankees the last two seasons, and the Eagles said he is expected to complete a deal after undergoing a physical.

Jones played in 94 games last season for New York, batting .197 with 14 home runs.

The former Atlanta Brave is a five-time All-Star and has 10 Gold Gloves. He hit 434 career home runs over 17 seasons in the major leagues and could provide a boost for the Eagles, whose 52 homers were the fewest in Japan last season. http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/baseball ... pan/nTTMj/

Totally agree. Mets got a pretty good haul for a 38-year-old pitcher who has been out of baseball a few times and had one tremendous season. Makes that Blue Jays team even more exciting, it will be nice to see them give the Yankees a run for their money and depending upon how the Orioles play could make the Red Sox the 5th best team in that division.

I agree.

Overall, I believe it was a very good all around trade for both teams. Now, I just want the season to begin, so I can see if Toronto is going to be a true contender or not.

There are very few of us posting on this board, but it's been fun, and active. I'd like more people to post, but it's enjoyable with just the few of us, so hopefully some news happens soon.
