Jordan Hill on the DL - Back spasms

Post#1 » by Slava » Mon Dec 17, 2012 11:54 pm

Meeks will be called upon once again for the short-handed Lakers on Sunday, with only 10 players available. Jordan Hill (back spasms) joins Pau Gasol (knee tendinitis), Steve Nash (non-displaced fracture) and Steve Blake (abdominal surgery) on the shelf.

Did not see this discussed anywhere else, so may be starting Artest at PF seems like more than an experiment now. Glad that its just working out fine.

I can't wait until the Death Star becomes fully operational. All these injuries suck!!!

While this sucks, I think it's a good thing because it will allow Howard, Metta, and Ebanks to develop chemistry out there. When Hill comes back Jamison will have put the final nail in his coffin so we shouldn't have to worry about him for too much longer.

I'm really hoping that our current starting lineup sticks even when Pau returns. It makes no sense whatsoever to start him.

I think it's wise to keep Pau as a starter but just manage his minutes along with Howard more. One of them should always be in game at once and we just have to juggle them at center. Play them together for the first few minutes of the first and third and then manage their minutes accordingly so both of them get to play in the post. Gasol needs minutes at the five to thrive but he is too good of a playmaker to not have on the floor along with the other starters.

The Hill injury isn't too bad since Pau is returning this week.
