There were more than a couple fans on this board who gave up on the Packers season after we lost to the Lions in Detroit in 2009/2010. I recall there being a "Packers will never win a Super Bowl with Mike McCarthy as Head Coach" thread.

So, it's not unique to Bears fans.

Yeah, I was one of those people who said that. It was sure nice to be wrong but that was one of the most disappointing games that I can recall as being a fan of the Packers. The defense played out of their minds and there was just no trust at all in Flynn after Rodgers went out of the game.

I think a lot of us were in a bad place that day. Keep in mind that we needed some help to make the playoffs after that game, and thanks to DeSean Jackson, we got it.

I was one of those people as well and I was very happy that I was proven wrong.


To sort of echo you though,if the Giants don't pull one of the most epic chokes jobs in NFL history the Packers are 1-3 in the playoffs under Mike Mccarthy's 7 season tenure as Packers head coach.Well 6 seasons since the playoffs are still upon us in this 7th season of MM's tenure.

Don't get me wrong I like Mike Mccarthy and I think he's one of the better coaches in the league,but facts are facts.
