Patrick Patterson plans to get opinions from two more doctors to determine a course of treatment for the bone bruise in his right foot.

Patterson is out indefinitely, with additional tests planned in the wake of his MRI on Saturday.

“From what I know, it’s a bone bruise,” Patterson said.

this is strange. im too lazy to look up what injury he had prior to last season that he got surgery on. maybe he's being really safe just to make sure its not something serious.

if he is out for awhile, its not that bad cuz morris can fill in and jones could work his way into the rotation.

If he's seeking a second opinion, then it's probably not something he can rest up and heal from in 2weeks or so.

There's been so much attention on the Harden/Lin dynamic yet unquestionably our biggest problem is defense at the PF position. Neither PatPat nor Morris is providing anything there. I hope for more PT for T. Jones because even though he's a rook you can't get much worse than those 2.

At least Marcus Morris is a slightly better rebounder, and although isn't a great defender isn't horrible either. Also, he can definitely play SF imo. He has a quick first step and has a great shot stem outside and off the drible as well. I wish they'd give him more time at the 3 instead of playing Delfino so much. He will be a very solid 3/4 man off the bench, in the mold of Al Harrington, Derrick Williams, etc.

Also wouldn't mind seeing Greg Smith take some minutes at the PF spot as well as Terrence Jones as well.

Does D.Mo being called up mean that Patterson will be out for longer than initially expected? It makes you wonder how serious it is if he needs a second opinion.

Morey said the best case scenario for Patterson would be rest, so... I take this as good news. Positivity, right?

It's no coincidence that the offense is running so much more smoothly recently with Morris in the starting line-up. With our offense so much PnR focused with Harden and Lin we need a stretch 4 and Morris is a much bigger threat from 3 than PatPat. Morris also has a nice off-the-dribble game which he is using to blow by recovering defenses.
