Good question, I don't think I noticed him play last game. Can someone answer this?

It's the defense, right?

His defense definitely sucks but he's been giving us absolutely nothing offensively either recently, Which is why he's out of the line up for Metta/Ebanks.

lucky break at the end. Good thing the Cats didn't get to convert on those chances. :D

The Clippers only beat them by 6 and the Knicks only beat them by 2.

Hey when we were winning championships the Bobcats would own us. If we faced them in the finals, they would surely beat us.

Nice we got the W but effort for 48 minutes is too much to ask. Actually its too much to ask for 2 quarters even. We should have blown them out but we went into ugly Lakers mode and got down 18. But atleast we came back!

Too much gambling on defense and too much isolation on the offensive end (settling for too many jumpers mainly because of Charlotte's 1-2-2/ 2-3 zone sets) is pretty much how we got into a 18 point hole against this squad. I noticed when we were swinging the ball mainly inside to out we were flowing much smoother.

Kemba has been on a absolute tear these past weeks and Byron Mullens has been a nice surprise this entire season for the bobcats thus far.
As for Players like Gerald Henderson and MKg who have been struggling this season not too surprised they would find a breakout of some sorts playing against us.

Sessions came out blazing as most ex Lakers do when they come back to LA.

A win is a win and right now the lakers will tKe whatever they can get.
3 game streak and on to the next in the Bay Area were oddly we are the underdogs lol

The results were only 'acceptable', but at this point a W is a W.

Even though we gave up huge runs and barely beat a bad team, I thought the effort and defensive rotations were a lot better. In previous games, other teams often only needed a single pass to get a wide open layup, with then the nearest Lakers looking at each other, both looking stupid.

In this game many times the Lakers closed out pretty well on the initial kick outs, etc. Charlotte would end up beating us on the 3rd pass, but that's still a vast improvement to what I was seeing before (even if the final result was only a narrow victory over a bad team.) At the end of the day, the age of the Lakers is going to result in some defensive breakdowns and fast breaks no matter what the effort, just don't make it any easier for the other team.

Our offense looked better too. The only times I would get worried is when Kobe would bring the ball across half court and basically decide he was going to drive and shoot. When he does that too often, it disrupts whatever offensive flow the Lakers have been able to generate. When Nash is the primary ball handler that aspect will be better, regardless of whether Kobe ends up shooting most of the time or not.

Even when the Lakers fell down 18 points, I still thought the game was easily within reach, because of what I was seeing on offensive and defensive ends. The Lakers are still very much a work in progress, but I still thought there was some improvement in this game.

Honestly at this point, to say they 'should have' blown out anybody is somewhat of a stretch. They have problems that go beyond just effort.

2 weeks ago, there was no way the Lakers would have come back from 18 down, there were too many defensive breakdowns and offensive issues. As it stands, had they played a little better in the last 5 minutes, they would have won this game going away.
