Yes...a guy (Gasol) who has averaged 23.5% (yes, it really is a '2' ahead of the '3.5', not a typo) from 3 definitely should take more 3's...why not? I don't see what the problem is. D'Antoni = genius.

Gasol to Denver makes a lot of sense. They have a bunch of questionable contracts they could unload; Chandler, McGee, etc. No need for the Lakers to get Iggy. They just need some depth and athleticism. A Chandler-Brewer combo would go a long way for LA.

Denver had three centers on their roster. They've got to move at lease McGee on a deal like that. Lakers have no use for McGee. Has to be a three team deal.

Also Chandler is still injured.

Note that Gasol/Howard duo is not easy in any system. Phil Jackson often used Gasol/Bynum seperately with Odom thrown in the mix. At the time, Bynum was the guy who got his minutes kept around 28 mpg while Gasol was getting 40 mpg. You can't give Howard 28 mpg, so something has to give.

Memphis are running Gasol/Zach perfectly.

Both Gasol brothers are amazing passers in the post and Zach/Dwight need the ball to dominate.

It can work just as easy as they made it work. D'Antoni's ego will not allow anything logical to take place on his watch.
