I call Bosh "soft" becuase he didn't even try to grab some rebound! I don't expect from Bosh to grab 15 rebounds a game or even 10 rebounds but only 2 rebounds is just ridiculous for me!
Have you ever seen Bosh try to box out K.Love to grab some rebounds?

You should learn some english...

Seriously. It makes your pathetic argument that much more Rediculous.

Are you really going to criticize someone's English when it's clearly not their first language? Out of line. You understood what he was saying.

Not to mention the fact, that you spelled 'ridiculous' wrong.

He's from italy, and he's perfectly understandable. no need to be a jerk about it.

And i totally agree with what ChalmDown said and showed. Joel isn't great but he's much much better then Haslem or Lewis for what we need from our bigs. and Joel isn't as bad offensively as some make him to be. yea he's below average but he can score in the paint..he really improved that part of his game. he's still a bad passer / rebounder and has bad hands and court awareness.

Do you even watch the games? Does Bosh looks like a great rebounder to you?

Do you seriously think that the reason that in 3 years with Heat he's averaging exactly 8 rebounds per game is beacuse he's not trying? He's playing under the biggest spotlight of the basketball world, do you think he just doesn't give a ****? or what, he's lazy?

Bosh got to the playoffs 4 times in his carrer. he never reached an avergae of 9 rebounds per game in any of those playoffs runs. i guess he just didnt put enough effort into it, right? if only he tried.

Do you know who Andrea Bargnani is? do you think that the fact that Bosh played with one of the worst bigman rebounders in the history of the NBA might have contributed to the fact that he got a couple of 10 rebounds per game regualr seasons with that awful Raptors team?

The guy has been in the leauge for 10 years. he's averaging less then 9 rebounds a game for his career. yet some people seem to think that if he just tried he'll be a great rebounder. i dont get it. when will you realise he's trying his best but he's a limited rebounder due to his playing style and his physical tools?

Instead of blaiming Bosh for not trying and not being a very good rebounder it's time to appreciate the things he does bring, a great offensive game, good man defender and improving team defender. he just needs to play next to a big that will complement his skillset. Just like Dwight who needs shooters around him, Bosh needs a strong physical rebounder next to him to help him maximize his strength and minimize his relative weaknesses.

You claimed Bosh couldn't average double-figure rebounds because he doesn't possess the skill to do so and I proved you were talking nonsense. Seeing as he's done it 3 times. If you really believe Bosh gives maximum rebounding effort game in and game out, I don't know what to tell you. And show me where I even implied he was lazy. Your description, not mine.

How do you not see that effort equates to production. Or do you think Dwight, Zach, Varejao, Love, and Noah just luck into rebounds? What you call rebounding skill is simply rebounding positioning, motor, and effort. And Dwight is the lone athletic freak out of the bunch.

To keep it short - i think you're vastly overating the "effort" factor. Most NBA big man try their best to get boards, it's more diffecult then just wanting to get them. it's a long list of factors like strength, balance, length, mobility, quickness, instinctive ability, the scheme you play in and more. Bosh, as an hard working allstar, wants it just as bad as anyone. he's just not elite in most of these factors, hence = he's just not a great rebounder.

Bosh doesn't jump most of the time. He puts in an increased effort in the postseason, as his pursuit of boards is more consistent and pronounced. Right now, he's letting midgets like Felton and others swoop in and grab rebounds over him. That's just laziness. I'm fine with it. Knee issues were a concern for him, so he can save that wear and tear for when it matters. PEACE.

Ayone saying Bosh is soft is either stuck in 2010 or dont really watch Heat basketball.

Funny how people forget how much we missed "SOFT" bosh in the playoffs last year.

I love how Heat fans on this borard hate on this team more than other teams do.

My final take on this topic. Rebounding and defense are the two biggest effort elements of basketball. It's fundamental Basketball 101 that coaches start preaching in grade school.

Anyone remember the game in Houston last month? About 5 seconds left in the 4th and Bosh grabbed that offensive rebound in traffic, off the missed Wade free throw, over three Rocket bigs who had position. He went after it like his life depended on it.

That's the type of effort you consistently see from Dwight, Varejao, Zach, Love, Noah, etc. You get that from Bosh occasionally. He's has that effort in him. Doesn't show it nearly enough.

Nice article about that strange Wolfs game :

" MIAMI -- It really doesn't seem to add up.

The Heat were outrebounded by the Timberwolves 52 to 24. Heading into Tuesday's game, teams that registered a plus-28 in the rebounding margin were 106-3 since 1985-86, according to Basketball-Reference.com.

One hundred six wins. Three losses.

Here's a chronological visual, starting with the most recent:

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWLWWWWLWWWWWWW
WWWWLWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

Now go ahead and add an "L" to the beginning of that string. Somehow, the Timberwolves managed to lose a game in which they were plus-28 in the rebounding margin. First time in 60 previous such instances.

And the Heat won by 11.

Rebounding margin has its flaws. Sometimes a positive rebounding margin means the other team just missed a lot of shots, because the defensive team usually recovers a missed shot. So rebounding margin is not the end-all, be-all. Even so, the Timberwolves shot 43 percent from the floor, which is a ton of available rebounds the Heat didn't gobble up. No two ways about it: The Heat got bludgeoned on the boards.

Yes, the Heat got crushed on the boards, but just as notable is who got dominated. Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem didn't collect a defensive rebound all night. That's happened to Bosh only one other time in his career while playing as much as he did on Tuesday (27 minutes).

Six hundred eighteen such games. Happened only once. ".........

Bosh isn't somehow "cursed" with poor rebounding talent. The dude can rebound just fine when he tries. It's obvious that he doesn't make it a priority every night and the inconsistency we see is the result from that. Oh well, hopefully some day the dude will take enough pride in his rebounding not to only get 2 in an entire game.
