I'm not sure what I think of it, but I do like that pringles is making an adjustment to correct what our flaws have been. I like that a lot and hope it works out.
What the arguement against it? That we are gonna lose more games that we were losing anyway? lol , there's really nothing to lose here but a LOT to gain if it works

With Nash back in the lineup will Morris be hurt or helped by playing fewer minutes???
I remember Kobe being get efficient for a few games with Nash in the lineup and even a few games after Nash's injury Kobe continued to be quite efficient then his efficiency dipped a bit as he had to take on more of he playmaking duties. With Nash available to handle the ball now can we look forward to Kobe being a more efficient offensive player?
Defensively Nash might not hurt us as much as one might think. If he can keep the ball moving well on the offensive end other teams might have to spend so much energy on defense they won't have the energy to run a those screen rolls against us with such precision..

This is the type of optimism and realism I like to see. At this point were not top 8 in the west and our 3 game win streak was about as unimpressive as they come. Why not try something? People say he needs to make adjustments, so let him try some.
Also I dont want to see any lakers fans go to the board of the next team that hires brown and look like bitter babies.

If we are going to put Kobe at sf why not trade for a legit sg who can shoot the ball.
Gasol for Eric Gordon
He is about to come back and word from NewOrleans is they will showcase him for a trade, why not go after him he was a 22ppg scorer 2years ago before he got injured. He and Kobe use to work out together during the summer when he played for the Clippers. We would build around Dwight/Gordon for the future.
pg:Nash
sg:Gordon
sf:Kobe
pf:Metta
c:Dwight
That starting lineup has a lot of offense and that is a team that can run the Dantoni offense.

Gordon is good but I don't see why NO would make that deal. Also, Gordon is extremely injury prone.

They would make the trade because he doesn't want to be there and as you said he is injury prone.By the way I believe he was faking the seriousness of his injury because he doesn't want to be there and now all of a sudden he comes back when he knows he can be traded after the 15th.kobe808lak wrote:Cashin out wrote:If we are going to put Kobe at sf why not trade for a legit sg who can shoot the ball.

I think the point you guys are forgetting is that it's extremely unlikely our management would trade for a player under a max contract that is injury prone.

Meeks will improve the spacing, but dude is streaky......always has been and will always be. But it's beginning, MDA is turning the Lakers into a smaller team.

No bad idea. Kobe plays and then when he comes off the floor, Meeks steps in. Meeks starts and then the bench is so lite like last season.

How exactly does replacing Meeks with MWP on the bench make it weaker?

Re: D'Antoni considering moving kobe to SF, starting meeks
Here's why I like Kobe at the SF spot...
Kobe is always going to draw double teams simply because very few players can guard him 1-1. When Kobe gets doubled we almost always have a man wide open on the perimeter and with Kobe at SG and Ron Ron at SF the player getting those wide open looks on the perimeter has been Artest and even though he's been playing great ball so far this year he's not knocking down that shot with quite enough consistency to make teams pay the price they should be paying for doubling Kobe and Dwight. Meeks is better equipped to hit that shot than Artest is at this point in his career.
I'm not sure how this sort of lineup change affects us when playing teams like OKC and Miami as I'm not sure Kobe can effectively guard either Durant or LeBron so we'll have to wait and see how that works out but for now I love having Meeks be the guy getting all those wide open looks that we're so used to seeing our guys consistently miss and Meeks should get better and better as he gets more comfortable with his role. He's going to get so many wide open looks with all the attention Kobe and Dwight mandate game nights are going to feel like Christmas.

Re: D'Antoni considering moving kobe to SF, starting meeks
With Nash, Meeks and Kobe out there we should have enough perimeter shooting on the court to improve spacing for Dwight in the interior. If we can consistently get Dwight in 1-1 situations we're going to be a very tough team to beat. The key is having Jodie and Nash being just consistent enough from outside that teams can't afford to leave them wide open.

Ball movement can also improve interior spacing for Howard.
