The way Walker has improved gives the Bobcats some hope as he’s developing into a potentially elite NBA player. Subsequently, Walker’s impact could end up reaching far beyond his ability to facilitate an offense and the box score.

Re: The Kemba Walker Thread
I'd like to say how impressed I've been with Walker. I honestly didn't expect him to do so well this season, especially in regards to his scoring . He still has a ways to go when it comes to his decision making...but I have no doubt he'll improve that as he has everything else. I think we all know he'd have much better assist numbers if his teammates could actually shoot the ball, or if we had a decent post player. Either way, I think the Bobcats have finally found that PG we've been looking for.

What, compared to Brevin Knight, Jason Hart, Earl Boykins, Acie Law, DJ Augustin, Raymond Felton, Shaun Livingston, Jeff McInnis, Kevin Burleson, Sherron Collins and Sean Singletary?
Not sure that's saying that much!!

It wasn't intended to say much but enough to say that we have our future at the PG position. That is all.

Re: The Kemba Walker Thread
Honestly we probably have our best two PGs in franchise history on the roster right now. I didn't think I was ever going to say this but even Sessions is playing better in a Cats uni than Felton or Augustin ever did IMO.
Oh yeah and Ramon Sessions is by far the best FA signing we've ever had.

For the money absolutely. To get a guy on a 2 year 10 mill contract that is a extremely solid 6th man is awesome.
I still say that Richardson was the best overall FA signing we've had, although his contract sucked and we had to give up the 8th pick (i think?) for him.
Edit: Technically he wasn't a signing, so Sessions is the best.

I disagree. The Richardson trade was one of the worst in our history IMO.

Not really. He was an X-Draft pick up.

Yeah, but he was an unrestricted free agent in 2007.

Kemba is gonna be a star
at the beginning of the year the guys I was hoping he'd pass were Knight, Jenning, Collison tier. He's already past that level though. hopefully soon we will be comparing him to Parker, Westbrook, Nash, Deron.
dont think he can get to Paul+Rose level even if he reaches his ceiling but thatd be nice

Here's my 25 and under ranking:
Tier 1: Irving, Rose, Westbrook
Tier 2: Curry, Lawson, Holiday, Conley, Kemba, Lillard, Rubio, Wall, Bledsoe, Jennings, Teague
Tier 3: Lin, Collison, Vasquez
Tier 4: Bayless, Knight, Thomas
DJ's good enough to be on there somewhere, but not at the moment. It's tough for me to separate that second group.

I wouldn't put Kyrie Irving on "Tier 1" just yet. Outside of being a sensationally efficient scorer he's been a horrible defender and below-average distributor so far.

Not yet. I don't want to anoint Kemba as being better than any 2nd tier PGs just yet. It'll only add fuel to the posters that dislike him. I'm comfortable with him productively floating under the radar a bit until we are a team that can consistently produce W's.

Re: The Kemba Walker Thread
i probably ranked kemba too high, but i have been swayed by his recent amazing run of form. the counter argument has to be made that no matter how great the stats look, we are on a 13 game losing streak and despite being our best player by a mile, kemba has to accept some blame for the streak.

Lauer Sounds Off: Kemba Deserves All-Star Consideration
At the quarter way mark of this season, we can probably assert that Walker has been the Most Valuable Bobcat, and after surveying the Eastern Conference landscape at his position, it’s a reasonable discussion to start throwing his name around for serious All-Star consideration.

Lauer didn't really sound off about much, but it's nice to read that a Bobcats player, especially in only his 2nd season, has been playing at All-Star level.

Re: The Kemba Walker Thread
Been saying hes allstar worthy for weeks, but i predict he won't make it over the Felton and the hype machine known as the Knicks, or Holiday if hes healthy.
