I don't know if this has been brought up, but what happened to DJ Augustin? I really thought Charlotte should've forced a sign and trade, but maybe they knew something. Hes on a one year contract, and I honestly wouldn't be suprised if hes out of the NBA next year.

Lol I see where Washington turned down a Beal, Singleton for Harden trade a couple months ago.

Wow

The Wizards have been starting AJ Price. The Mavericks have been starting Derek Fisher. The Lakers are starting Chris Duhon. Augustin hasn't gotten minutes in Indiana and he hasn't gotten anything going in those limited minutes. If he was getting starting minutes in one of the aforementioned places, we'd probably still be calling him a fringe starter.

Wow
The Thunder offered that crap and then turned around and got Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb (who I thought wasn't far off from Beal talent-wise), and Toronto's 4-8 pick.

I was just thinking: It would be pretty damn funny if the pick the Raps used in the trade to Houston to get Lowry (which OKC now owns) ended up meaning they miss out on Andrew Wiggins.

Missing out on a local kid who is tagged as the next big thing?

Their board would go into full melt down mode.

I could be be wrong but I'm pretty sure the pick is 4 thru 14.

EDIT: It's top 3 protected this year and top 2 next year.

I want that pick somehow. Even if it means giving up Sessions, Henderson, Mullens, and Portland's pick, etc. That pick is super valuable. I get the feeling OKC's either holding on to it, given the amount of solid bigs in the lottery next summer, or trading it along with a few other pieces for an all-star big like LMA, Varejao, etc.

You have to be right. They're good at developing talent but I think they'll trade it. It's a question of when, really. The raptors look terrible right now, and they worse they are the better that pick is. Do you trade it soon to capitalize? Or do you wait until closer to the time it would be used, which also increases value as known quantities get better returns than unknown ones?

I wish I had their problem

Felton and Carmelo are 12-of-16 for 30 points against the Lakers and the 1st isn't even over yet.

Are there any Greivis Vasquez fans out there? I might be catching him on his best games (he had 15pts, 5rebs, 17asts against Minny last night), but I love the way he controls his team on offense and finds good looks for everybody. It can be a lob to Aminu or Davis, it can be a pass to the spot from which Anderson can hit a three, it can be a good bounce pass to Robin Lopez after driving to the basket, etc. Moreover, I love tall point guards. Even though 12.0ppg, 4.0rpg and 8.6apg look good on paper, there are plenty of better point guards out there, so I don't really know whether he actually is that good or can he become a top15 point guard. But I do think that he can be a starting point guard for a playoff team, if that team has scorers, yet all it needs is a point guard who can distribute the ball and be more pass-first.

Greivis Vasquez is definitely a underrated young player. I think it's due to the fact that he's not explosively athletic or fancy, but he'll lull you with his witty quickness & has the smarts to use his height advantage to see the court better. He's probably the best passing PG under 25 in the NBA.

Paul George is finally realizing his potential. Playing All-NBA level defense, and putting up 25 ppg 7.3 rpg 3.8 apg on 51% from the field over the last 6. Up to 16.5 ppg on the season at 54% TS and rising.

Would you guys do a Sessions for Jordan Hill trade. Hill is a good young bigman on a good contract, but doesn't fit into D'antoni's small ball and won't get minutes. Duhon or Earl Clark can be thrown in if there is salary matching issues. Duhon is only partially guaranteed for next season at 1.5. Or do you guys like how Sessions is doing? I think he might do well in D'antoni's offense as a backup is why I ask.

I would much rather prefer the prospects of Darius Morris than a over-the-hill Steve Blake. I like Morris' size & ability to play defense, and still remember him being quite the distributor during his Michigan days. Maybe that has gone to the waist side with Kobe Bryant calling for the ball every other second that it leaves his hands, but I think Morris is a more than capable backup PG that won't gripe for minutes because he's just happy to be in the league right about now.

I'd prefer Morris as well, forgot about him somehow even though we just played them, haha. But they still wouldn't have any defense at the PG position if they traded Morris and Hill for Sessions. That's actually pretty decent value for both teams, but it would be a really cold move for CHA to trade Sessions to the Lakers this season, he just left those guys.
