Definitely. Great energy tonight.

I'm super jealous.

But yeah you could even feel the energy through a rather crappy live stream, as well.

One thing about Rubio that I notice is how he manages to put pressure on the offensive player in spots that they are just not used to being in. It's a little difficult to explain, but he'll put pressure on a guy, or simply position himself to make a guy feel awkward, and a turnover happens.

I noticed it in his first 9 minute stint last night. He's very crafty, and I bet he would be annoying to play against for opposing guards :)

I'm actually pretty happy with Ricky's game. I mean, the two last games. I think he's actually great since he came back.

What I have noticed is that he is to hold by his emotions: in the first game everything was awesome, euphoria all over the place, he made six free-throws, ten points, many assists, the whole team rolled around him... that was a great night. Against Orlando, Rubio tried to hold to what the press and most of the fans like about him: his fancy assists. That's a mistake.

That's a mistake because Ricky's game is not about interfering in the flow of the game: his special hability, his skill, is to conduct the flow of the game by sharing the ball, making allways de right chioce, paying attention in defense, surprising with some layups. He's not the player who subordinate's the game of the team under his own, he's not Russel Westbrook, neither Kyrie Irving. He needs to disconnect with expectations, wills of non-players.

The other aspect which is important, is that his scoring is closely linked with his physic state, his stamina, etcetera. The monstrous layup he throws to the board is a perfect example: his knee caused him pain, he made a bad shot. He's not fast enough now, not in shape, when his body is 100%, I think he can make 12-12 ppg 10apg quite easily. Just score occasionally, that's perfect for him.

The comparision with Shved doesn't make sense to me: Shved is crazy, nuts, out of his mind. Sometimes he does Barea stuff. Sometimes he's awesome, like yesterday, and others, the things just doesn't happen to him. Very, very, very different.

The national TV game last year against the Clippers was GOTY for me.
The OKC Thunder game last year (Not nationally televised) was also heavy GOTY consideration from me.

The national TV game against OKC this year is GOTY from me so far for the Wolves.

Actually, wasn't the OKC 2OT game last year on NBA TV? I feel like it was, but I can't really remember.

I thought the party would still be going on in here!

Great win Wolves! I'm looking forward to seeing how well you do on the bigger stages!

A lot of people don't consider NBATV as true national broadcast, since they just take the feed from the home team.

Not everyone gets NBA TV either.

I think we'll be seeing the Wolves on TNT a little more often in the future.

So here's some numerology fun from last night:

The Thunder's win streak would have been 13 games had they won.
The Thunder's win streak against Minnesota would have been 13 had they won.
The Wolves broke both of those streaks by winning their 13th game of the season.
This all happened on the night the Mayan long calendar ended it's 13th Baktun (144,000 day cycle).

Just realized that 4 of our 13 games in February are on TNT or ESPN.

Good stuff.

Plus they got beat by Jose Juan "The 13th Warrior" Barea.

How come 144,000 isn't divisible by 13, if it's a cycle?

Anyone know a Mayan I can ask?

Each Baktun is 144,000 days. We just ended the 13th and are starting the 14th.

Guys, if you didn't watch the game and would like to...let me know..I might give the link to Basti or any of the mods here and they can have the full game streaming with no download. ;)

edit - NVM spoke too soon, maybe they'll have it up later

It's the 13th cycle of 144000 days.

Oh -- so you're saying that it just happened to be this is the 13th one, not that we had 12, 120000 day cycles, and #13 started with 144,001.

You're not reading this correctly. Each cycle is 144,000 days. We just ended the 13th cycle (1,872,000 days). It's not 144,000 divided by 13.

Got it. So some Mayan started this in 3116 BC?

Or projected that was the starting date?

Yeah, I assume they projected it backwards. I don't know the significance of that starting time (I've reached the end of my ancient Mayan knowledge ).
