Las Vegas: Jays favoured to win it all!

Post#1 » by PerfectJab » Sat Dec 22, 2012 1:09 am

Not sure if this has been posted as I don't frequent this neck of the woods that often. 35-1 wow!

It should be noted that, not long after the 2012 World Series ended, Bovada.lv listed the Jays at 35-1 to win it all. That's a lot of ground made up in less than two months.
Canada's team isn't the clear-cut favorite by any means (and all of this is subject to change). The Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels are next at 17-2. Freeway Series. Oh, boy. The Washington Nationals come next at 9-1 and the Detroit Tigers are 10-1. The Cincinnati Reds and Texas Rangers (despite their miserable offseason) are next at 12-1. The Yankees are 14-1 and the San Francisco Giants are a relative longshot at 16-1 to repeat as champs.

But it's nice to see us getting some recognition that's for sure. But now we have to go prove it on the field.Let's hope we can do it!!

Definitely. It's been a long time coming as well. Can't remember the last time a Toronto team was legitimately considered championship contenders! I think the last time I was so excited about additions/changes was when the Leafs traded Fuhr for Andrekchuk.

The talent is definitely there and unlike basketball and hockey team chemistry, or rather fit, plays a smaller role in a teams success.
