I think we have to take BPA at our pick unless it's an obvious need / fit thing.

So then why Anthony Bennett?

I don't think Zeller can finish around the rim that well at the next level. Hell, I've seen players half his size completely stuff his two handed dunk attempts already. He's a lot weaker than he looks, or plays weaker any way.

I'm still highest on Noel for our big. He'd provide the one thing we sorely lack, an aggressive power big.

Might be his (relatively) short wingspan.

Still can't seem to find the "power" from Noel

After watching the early part of the college basketball season thus far and considering what our team need, I'm reconsidering Nerlens Noel as our #1 target in the draft, followed by Rudy Gobert and Shabazz Muhammad. I'm sure that this may be subject to change come March Madness but that's just my thoughts right now. Noel is the defensive monster that they advertised him to be based on his all-around defensive averages (4 blocks, 3 steals, and 9 rebounds). I can only imagine teaming Noel up with MKG and Biyombo in the frontcourt. That will make our defense wreak havoc on the league for years to come. I also believe that Noel has the athleticism to grow into a decent scorer in the post with the right coaching and development.
They will wage war against the Lamb but the Lamb will triumph them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings - and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers." Revelation 17:14 (NIV)

Is Zeller promoted as a 7 footer? If he is, I just don't see it.

We don't even know where we will be picking yet.

Also Noel has project written all over him and scares me.

Who are your picks Slam?

I agree we need high IQ players.

I really like both Smart and McLemore.

However I would probably take Shabazz over both for scoring potential and motor alone.

Smart will probably continue to be a PG in the league

I reckon he'd be great at SG.

He seems like he's somewhere in between Westbrook and Billups to me. If he measures out a little taller than the 6'3 range he seems to be, or has a big wingspan then we can talk, but I'm a bit skeptical at the moment. Especially with him playing PG in college

We can get a good look at Mclemore tomorrow. Kansas plays Ohio State at 4 ET. For those that see this later, by tomorrow, I mean Saturday, 10/22.

I really, REALLY like what I've seen so far. Appears to have the makings of a future All-Star. But we'll get a better look tomorrow.

Been singing his praises for awhile now. Really starting to look like he wants to be at the top of my list

Yeah, he can flat out ball. Also got my eyes on Otto Porter.
