The board that really rocks for the fan size base is the Bucks board.

I am new here. I enjoy reading what others think. Some are very negative on certain players or the coach or the whole team. I enjoy reading about possible trades from those who know more than me. Thanks for the forum. I will cheer for everyone on the Jazz and hope for the best.

Re: Any ideas to improve this Jazz forum?
I will admit that I don't post here nearly as much as I have in the past but my general interest in forums (my soccer one included) has declined despite the extreme amount of boredom I have at work. It is a perpetual problem. I don't see much activity so I don't post and don't check as often. I will do a quick scan every few hours of the general board, one scan a day of the trade board, and one scan of the gamer's lounge. I check this board three or four times a day but rarely post and actually don't read many threads. A few years ago I would read every post here religiously without miss.
Not sure what to do to make it more active. Game threads seem lacking. We should do some kind of pick'em game through out the season or predictions for certain things to bring back people more often but make it flexible enough that new people can join in at any time.
I will think more on this.

The team is not very interesting anymore. Thats the sad truth. We used to have a brand image. An identity. That walked right out the door with Sloan and Larry Miller (when he died).
Sad, but true.
Sad, but true.

Yeah, All Greg Miller wants to do is ride around different continents in Land Cruisers and post videos of it on YouTube, assuming all of Utah even cares about him.

It's interesting that a few threads are converging to this idea that we're finally feeling the absence of the guys (Sloan and LHM) who made this franchise what it was.

Everything is incosistant with the Jazz right now. We used to know who the starters were going to be every night, and who the first 3-4 people would be off the bench. Hell, we used to know all the plays. Now it seems more iso plays, which to me is boring. All the movement in the Jazz offense is gone.

Long time lurker here...
I think having a middling, no-identity team to follow at the moment doesn't help.
Contrast that to say, the Minny fans - creating silly videos, hyping up guys like Pekovic... I dunno they just seem to love their guys a bit more, because they are more lovable. Someone else mentioned the Bucks board is passionate for it's size; can we get some sort of "Fear the Deer" catchphrase or rally call? (Not "Jazz on your Face")
Maybe we should be firing up viral initiatives like "Get Favours to the ASG" or spreading that video of Kanter's magic trick.

What. "We are Utah Jazz" doesn't give you goosebumps and chills up your spine?
I think our players are likeable as individuals but not collectively. All the guys we want to cheer for and put our hope in get no minutes. The 6-7 veterans who are (hopefully) on their way out clog up the court every night with their uninspiring play.
I miss Deron's dimes, memo's money balls, even Brewer's baseline jams and Harp's flex jumpers.
This team has no chemistry and no identity. We don't know what's going to happen every night - excitement stems from hopeful anticipation and all we anticipate is half-a$$ed ISO's and Big Al post play.

We've got a lot of guys who are extremely likable as individuals but not so much as basketball players.

Yep. i'd say over half our fan base hates our "best player" (al jefferson). i think things will get better in february when the roster gets adjusted.

I wish I could be confident that a change is coming, but I fear that the FO will just ride this season out, hope they can back into the playoffs and then try to re-sign one of Millsap or Jefferson.

I dunno, there's new blood up there now. I'm interested to see what Lindsey does

I'm one of the MIA
I used to post and read every day. Now not so much.
It isn't because of any one reason, but several.
First and foremost is this team and coach are BORING!!! I was really looking forward to something new and exciting with Corbin and the first thing that happens is Deron is traded,
Right or wrong he was the face of the Jazz. They have no identity.
Second is its NFL Time!!!! The NFL knows how to do it. "Any given Sunday"
It just feels like your favorite team has as good a chance as any.
The NBA has become a few super teams and then the cannon fodder.
Pretty much Stern sucks.
Then you have all the other social media taking up time especially Facebook and twitter.
I don't know that barring a change and a very solid team that makes some noise that much can be done to get people back.
You might let the rules go some, it was always fun to have flame wars
