Yeah it makes no sense that he isn't starting for the Pistons. The Pistons front line will be one of the best in the NBA soon.

The starting bit doesn't matter, you can start on the bench and still log minutes.

It's him not getting 25 minutes a game every night.

I'm okay with him in 20-22 mins for game for now. I don't think we are going to make the playoffs...if Monroe, Knight, Singler and Drummond gain chemistry and take a step forward as players by the end of this year, then I think the season was relatively successful.

At first I felt that we had a small chance at the 7th or 8th seed and wanted to start him, but since that isn't going to happen...might as well bring him along slowly. He's earned all his mins so far, and he will continue to earn more.

To be fair I think it takes some guts to possibly thinking long term with Drummond and taking time with him, potentially at risk to his job if the team doesn't become competitive for the playoffs. Of course he could just be an idiot and not realize how well he is playing, but I suspect he is trying to maximize his learning while Drummond is still amenable and impressionable. Lord knows we've seem some talented guys pickup horrible habits when given free reign (Hello Sacramento), so it might not be the worst thing in the world to put a carrot all there even if in actuality he has earned increased minutes. Detroit is playing better now, and on a team that has been in a persistent state of munity a part of me wonders if Frank hasn't deliberately lost some battles in regards to playing time to win the war.

I think its smart to be patient and let Drummond develop naturally rather than asking too much out of him at this point.

David West is abusing Anthony Davis
On Krylyo Fesenko:

Piston fans don't care about Drummond starting the game, they care about him finishing the game. something frank refuses to do

As a Piston fan I don't care if he starts or finishes games right now, that will come soon enough. He does get a bit tired with too many minutes right now anyway so bringing him along at a pace that slowly increases his minutes over the course of the season is fine by me.

I know it is only the suns defense, but Lillard has been very impressive. All I have to say, thank you.

Lillard with 25/7 on only 13 shots. Took over in the 4th Quarter.

Agreed. His step-back J in the 4th tonight to seal the momentum was so reminiscent of B.Roy it is unbelievable. Besides the point, the kid was a steal. As a Blazers fan i can't tell you how happy I am that he is ours.

Nice to see Lill break out of his little shooting slump he was in for a couple games. You'd swear this kid has been in the NBA for a couple years with the way he plays.

Im a big Lillard fan, wow this dude is amazing.

Initially, I wasnt sold much but then sometime last month, used Portland on 2k and went ham with this dude. Then followed his progress in the real stuff and became a fan. What a gem by the Blazers. :)

Lillard's shot was ON. Nice to see him have a good scoring game after struggling the past few.

Dude owned Dragic/Telfair all night.

I've watched a few games where Davis played. Davis' defense isn't as good as I thought it would be. It's probably just because he's played only 15 games though.

It's a rookie thing. So few rookies are ever absolutely dominate their rookie year. You gotta look at defensive potential more than defensive production in their rookie season. I honestly can't think of a single rookie that was dominate defensively. Even Dwight was a bit raw in that respect his first season. There's so many little nuances that go into playing defense on the NBA level that the only way to really learn and grow in that area is through experience.

I wouldn't worry about it much with Davis. Assuming he can stay healthy, I don't doubt that will improve. I still see just a ton of a young KG in him.
