My quick Postgame analysis.
We moved the ball, Harden and Lin seem to have figured a lot of stuff out.
Morris and Parsons and Asik played BIGTIME D. Not only from a containing scorer's perspective, but also keeping them off the glass, not many offensive boards for Memphis.
Assists, goes back to moving the ball, and making shots off the open look.
TRANSITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Easy buckets = easy wins. It's all about buckets!!!!
Solid play off the bench. Once we got that final lead, we made it grow. We didn't just put a boot to the throat. We locked in an armbar for good measure too.
We moved the ball, I cannot emphasise this enough.
At times tonight, it seemed like we had a copy of the scouting report Memphis had on us, as well as us having their playbook.
Greg Smith and Delfino off the bench were spectacular.
Bad notes.
A few too many defensive errors on switches or help defense off the Pick and Roll.
A couple of lapses allowing easy inside baskets, (Gasol b2b.) We seemed to be so honed in on offense at this stage.
Rookies seemed a bit tentative when the bench was cleared. Need to decide who the big dog is in that pecking order. (IMO it should be Moju.)
That's about all I can pick on. Really solid win, but more importantly, a big statement made. We are the new Oklahoma, young, full of grit, and ready to run your A$$ off!!!!!
