More specifically the last play in the 4th quarter when Nashed passed to D12 and D12 found Metta. I thought the Warriors were going to foul D12 on purpose for sure. Then we ran the same play in OT where Nash gives the ball to D12 in the middle of the key and he makes a decision to finish at the rim or kick the ball out. Again, I thought they were going to foul him. For the time being I would like to see gasol in that roll because he's a better passer, decision maker, and better mid range shot maker. And if the bigs collapse on him he can just throw it towards the rim because D12 can finish.

No, it was definitely questionable. We finished out the 4th with a Kobe ISO for crying out loud.

But yeah, if Gasol and Howard are going to be closing out games together then we need to be running more Nash/Gasol P&R's or posting Gasol up for sure. Running plays through Howard is silly given his inability to hit FT's.

I think you guys are underestimating Dwights screens. Dwight sets 10x better screens then Pau, where as gasol most of the time doesn't even hit the guy

Pau is so clearly afraid of contact these days it makes him almost worthless out there.

I thought our defense was horrible throughout the entire game, 4th & OT included. It was rare to see two consecutive stops.

Great win but our defense is still a long way from being ideal for a championship run.

The only open shot we gave up in OT was that Steph Curry 3 and you cannot do much when a guy takes and hits a step back jumper from 27 ft

It'll be interesting to see what our team is capable of if our defense can improve just a little and our offense can improve just a little.

I'm optimistic our defense will get better as Dwight's health improves. Having Jordan Hill back and healthy from his back spasms is also a huge boost to our defense.

I'm also optimistic our offense should significantly improve now that Nash is back. This alone might be enough to make us a much stronger team. (I'm hoping anyway)

My one major concern going forward is Pau. We need productivity from a guy we have as much invested in as we do Pau but right now the guy appears to have no explosiveness whatsoever. I really wish his decline could be explained better than "he's playing out of position". I know PF is not his ideal role but being out of position doesn't explain his tentativeness. Perhaps moving him to a team that could use a starting center for whatever pieces we can get in exchange is our best option at this point? Seeing Pau go would suck but seeing Pau get abused on a nightly basis sucks even more. If it takes getting rid of Pau to return our team to its winning ways then so be it.
