Heat interested in Cousins?

The Heat are "possibly interested" in acquiring Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins, would likely need to be a three-team deal. (ESPN)

I hope it happens. Cousins has a nasty attitude, but i think Pat Riley can find a way to cool his head down a little bit. With the help of LeBron, Wade, and Bosh, they can mentor him and help him to be more discipline.

PG-???
SG-Wade
SF-LeBron
PF-Bosh
C-Cousins

Back-to-back champ!
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

We need some patsy GM to step in and help make this happen. There's no one we can trade with Sactown straight up that'll get it done. PEACE.

We don't have any assets worthy of a talent like Cousins period. Not even a third team can save us.

I'm in agreement with you, but cautiously optimistic that Riles can hoodwink someone into making this happen. PEACE.

Main players:
Minnesota gets tyreke + Cole
Sac: Derick Williams, Miller, Joel
Heat: Isiah Thomas and Cousins, Roy

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=cqle2z6

Okay maybe the Kings wouldn't give up there two main players but maybe they could use another start

Reason we take Roy: Similar contract to Miller but one year less and if he retires anytime I think it doesn't count against our cap and if he can play he can be a serviceable 10-15 min player still

Oh man, these ridiculous trade ideas are depressing. We have no assets, let it go. it's not even remotely close to being a long shot.

+10000000000000...

Please. STOP.
I just posted this in the trade thread. I'm going to quote myself here again.

C'mon guys.. I don't want this to turn into something the likes of a LA/Boston trade thread..
They expect teams to just eat up scrubs and give them Superstars. Check them out for laughs if you want.
Let's keep it realistic here. Kings will have their plate full with offers for DMC if they are on the market. They will at-least want an allstar or multiple picks in return.

Best offer we can throw at teams is 3pt shooter/s + Philly Pick. The best we can get back is someone like Jordan Hill.. but like Rex pointed out, LA doesn't want us to get stronger.

Very true. And besides, it's not like we didn't just win a championship :)

We don't need to make a trade like this

Cousins would make our team perfect. There is no way the other Nba teams would let it happen. We are being used to drive up his trade value.

But yeah pat lebron and ud would turn this kid around.

So true. If there's one thing that kind of sucks about our team is how little I can play around on the Trade Machine with our guys since we have so few real assets. I'll gladly deal with that though.

My reaction was this, when reading that Heat are interested in a top center in a possible 3 team trade and possibility of adding Cousins to the Heat

but then I quickly realized that they have absolutely no assets to trade with. Sorry guys, not happening.

Am I the only guy who is not thrilled in having Cousins in our team, especially if we give up good quality "Heat" guys? I know Cousins is extremely talented but he is a total headcase; I know we have great leadership/mentorship with LeBron/Wade/Haslem/Pat/Zo but it still doesn't sit right with me...

We could win the next ten championships if we got cousins and developed him. Most of cousins issues are with losing so much. Haven't seen anything tobsuggest he'd be as big a problem as blatche.

The main issue down the road would be paying him.

Talent wise, he's above everybody outside of the Big Three, so I'd still gladly take him while giving up anybody else on our roster. If he turns out to be a headcase, then all we would have lost is some roleplayers. It sounds harsh, but the NBA is a business after all. Since we don't have the slightest shot of acquiring him, it's not even worth discussing it.

With that being said, he's another one of those guys who's just weak-minded. Don't give me that "he just wants to win"**** as an excuse for his antics. Everybody wants to win, but almost every good rookie coming into the league joins a subpar team. If you're picked as high as Cousins, it's your job to develop into a player who can lead his team out of the lottery and into the playoffs and not turn into a whiny little b**** who can't take criticism. It's his third year in the league and he still hasn't improved statistically so maybe he should take a long look in the mirror and consider himself being part of the reason his team still sucks.

lol @ this being 2 pages. All of Miami's assets were used to get the big 3. The cupboard is bare outside of that.

If you want Cousins, Bosh will have to be included in the deal which isn't happening.

And you don't even take the time to read through those two pages because otherwise you'd know none of us actually believe we have a shot at landing him.

No freaking way I would trade Cole and Anthony right now. They are the reason why the defense has improved as of late. Cousins is a time bomb right now.
