OROY, who have you got?

Post#1 » by 5DOM » Mon Dec 24, 2012 8:32 pm

Right now I've got RG3 slightly ahead of Wilson with Luck a distant third.

If the Redskins fail to make the playoffs, I wouldn't mind the award going to Wilson.

Hard for me not to give it to Wilson the way he's played lately. No disrespect to the other guys on the list of course, but Wilson has been something else

Right now, my edge is to Wilson. But Wilson, Luck and RG3 are all 3 highly deserving.

I'm surprised anyone who's watched this whole season think it is Wilson over Griffen. Wilson is getting the press now because he's been hot the last two weeks and Griffen has been banged up. I hope voters take a step back and realize what Griffen has been doing the whole year.

Wilson's been hot since week 5 with only two bad games since (at 49er's and home Arizona where he barely had to do anything).

Griffin has been hot ALL YEAR basically. It should come down to Wilson and Griffin but Luck will probably win it. Don't deny there's some undertones in him winning the award either.

I don't think Luck will win it, the statistical gap is too big.

First thing you hear though is that Luck had to put the franchise on his back the moment he walked in, his team is in the playoffs, rookie record for passing yards etc. Griffin is in the same boat w/the exception of the passing yards.

The argument for Luck winning it is terrible.

Gimmie RG3, then Wilson.

Two guys having very good years in almost complete anonymity:
Doug Martin and Matt Kalil. Martin has stayed very good even though the Bucs have crashed, and AD would not have a shot at 2000 yards without Matt Kalil kicking butt. Josh Gordon has proven well worth the Browns 2nd rounder in 2013 too.

Matt Kalil all the way. This is ridiculous.

Lets just put it this way: if RG3 beats the Cowboys he should get this award, if he loses then it should be Wilson

I think that RGIII should get it, but Luck taking the Colts from the first pick to the playoffs will resonate loudly with the old farts who vote on this stuff.

Has to be RG3. Wilson has been playing really well this year but the fact that the Redskins are on the verge of the playoffs is just ridiculous. Seattle has one of the league's best defenses and an incredibly dominant running game. They can win games even if Wilson plays badly. The Skins have...RG3 and...that's pretty much it. Plus RG3 has the numbers on Wilson as well.

RG3, Wilson, Luck in that order, with Martin and Kalil rounding out the top 5.

What you described for RG3 is the same with Luck. He also set the record for most passing yards by a rookie. He also has the Colts locked into the playoffs already.

There will be a strong case for all of them. I think Wilson's help will hurt him. He does have such a great D and Skittles to back him. Luck and RG3 have horrible D's behind them.

I would be happy for any of the 3. I am a Redksins and Colts fan that lives in Wisconsin so I love all 3.

Luck's passing record would mean more to me if his completion percentage wasn't terrible.
