I think it is a well deserved award. CP3 has had a very good season so far and he is really showing the NBA that he may be the BEST PG in the league right now. Not only is he the PG, he is the captain of a very cohesive team.

CHRIS PAUL NAMED WESTERN CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

The National Basketball Association today announced that Los Angeles Clippers’ point guard Chris Paul has been named Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Monday, December 17, through Sunday, December 23. LeBron James earned the honor for the Eastern Conference.

Paul helped lead the Clippers to a 4-0 week while averaging 16.3 points, a conference-leading 11.3 assists and 3.50 steals. Paul posted three points/assists double-doubles and had two games with five steals as the Clippers established a new franchise record with 13-straight wins.

Paul also became the third youngest player in NBA history to record his 5,000th career assist when he accomplished the feat on Dec. 19 vs. New Orleans.

Here is a recap of the week for Paul:

Dec. 19 vs. New Orleans: Posted 10 points, 12 assists and five rebounds in 93-77 win.

Dec. 21 vs. Sacramento: Tallied 24 points, 13 assists, five rebounds and five steals in 97-85 win.

Dec. 23 at Phoenix: Collected 17 points, 13 assists and five steals in 103-77 win.

Good to see that we got another player that won conference player of the week. Good job CP3 and good job team. We need to keep up the good work.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

When Chris Paul wins a championship, MVP, Finals MVP, Gold medal Olympic, and Sports Illustrated Player of the Year, then and then only should he been in the same sentence as King James.

I like CP3, but I think hes overrated. Just like that center the clippers have aka Blake Griffen. Don't give me BS that he jumped over a car. First of all he jumped over a hood of a car, and if I wanted to see men jumping, I would go watch avengers. Lamar Odem is only relevant cause of Khole K.

Yes CP3 is the main reason why Clippers are doing well and have that streak going, but what happens when King James & the Heat faces clippers, Gave Over (and we have seen this before in this season).

Congrats CP3, (BTW they ripped the name off Bosh: CB4 and put CP3) <--- just a fun little fact/history.

Don't even know why I answer to posters like these, but someone has to take up the crusade.

You wouldn't know anything about NBA history if it slapped you upside the head.

You want some little fun facts though?

Raptors signed Landry Fields, picked Terrence Ross over Drummond, worst team in the NBA behind the Wizards, OKC has their top 3 protected lotto pick, and have absolutely no good signs for the future.

I would be mad too.

I don't know how to respond to your post or what the point of it was. This thread is for CP3 winning player of the week.
