Agreed. Its a shame he doesnt get more burn but he needs to learn from his rookie mistakes. He seems to be exactly what he was advertised as, a smooth jump shooter and an active defender. Hes still adjusting to the speed and strength of NBA players but once he becomes more consistent and confident I think he can be a very good player in this league.

I don't think he'll ever get his due just because he was taken over Drummond, but yeah Ross has been great. Lights out shooter and his defense is fantastic. I don't think we've ever had a perimeter player who was excellent both on and off the ball.

I thought Ross wasn't doing great until recently? At least that's the impression i got from peoples posts, or has he been solid all season?

Yeah recently. I don't know what it was but earlier in the season if he threw a rock at the ground he would have missed. Now he looks confident out there and hitting from all over the floor.

I think he started playing better after the Houston game on the road trip a few weeks back. Even though the Raps lost that one badly, that gave him the confidence that he could be a productive rotation player.

Early in the season he didn't get a lot of PT because all the attention was focused on Jonas, and Casey didn't trust him yet.

I think it was merely an adjustment period. There's no question he struggled early on. The Raptors have been on a bit of a run lately and he's becoming a more important part of the rotation. Unfortunately, Pietrus, and inevitably Fields, stand in his way.

He's had a few good games but many more duds. As for him being a good shooter. Do not see that right now as he misses way more open shots than he makes.

He does play well enough in some games to deserve more minutes but won't get it as we are packed at the wings and neither him or Derozan can handle the ball.

LMAO, I hope our fans don't become the fans that has their big man prospect that grows 2 inches every summer. Anthony Randolph has to be at least 7'5 by now right?

Same three as me, though I'm still probably higher on Drummond than most. I think he has better than AD potential even if that's not a popular opinion. I'm only speaking max potential though, not the likely hood of it happening. Potential best center though imo. (in his playing days, not speaking all time.)

I learned about Lillard a bit late, but the more I saw of him the more I was hoping we drafted him. My dream draft was:

Drummond #6
Lillard #11

It didn't work out that way and in hindsight I'm glad we got Lillard and doubt he would have lasted till 11, he's really just what this team needed. An instant satisfaction draft pick. Not bummed about Leonard either though, he's years away but is a great block to chip away at.

I was just repeating what Dell Demps said, and he's not a fan. Growing taller probably won't make much of a difference for him anyway, gaining more mass is the important thing.

Ross' handle will be fine when he gets more confident with it, it's not the same shaky dribble that DeMar has. He has a good right to left cross and a quick in and out dribble and he covers a lot of ground with his moves. The key for him is to read the defense a bit better in certain situations and know when to drive and when to pull up, he's too reliant on his jumper right now.

His finishing ability in the lane is really promising though, that floater is unblockable and he has a great touch on it.

This is a strange response. Sort of like saying, man, I hope our fans aren't going to start saying the basketball is round.

Dell Demps and the doctors said Davis has grown half an inch and that his growth plates are open to continue to grow. He's 19 years old. This is just a statement. Not some fan opinion.

Sky also blue, grass still green.....for the most part anyway.

It does seem like every year, fans of some team say their rookie grew a few inches. Look, it's not impossible to still grow after age 18...it's just highly unlikely in most cases though.

He's dealt with a concussion, a foot injury, and not having the best player on his team around to help get him touches. Its arguable that the Hornets have had ONE other starting caliber player on the entire roster this season, Ryan Anderson. Vaquez has played well in stretches but clearly isn't ideal.

IF Gordon ever gets back, Davis' scoring numbers will definitely spike. Right now nobody on the Hornets roster can create his own shot or drive and finish at the basket. A guy like Gordon who can penetrate on his own and dish to Davis(or kick out to Anderson) will be a huge help to him. At the moment the Hornets offense consists of an endless string of pick and rolls every possession, with someone usually chucking up a bad shot at the end of the shot clock which is why they're one of the lowest scoring teams in the league.

By the end of the season he'll end up being around 18/10/ 2 blks.

I actually believe it much more likely that his numbers worsen prior to getting better.

His jumper is broken and he lacks the strength to bang down low for easy buckets. His numbers are inflated by two good games against the Bucks and the Bobcats, but outside of that his numbers have been largely pedestrian. He's already at 50% shooting on the season, and I only see that sliding from here due to his lack if strength and his limited scoring aresenal.
