Can we please get more Gibson? He's got 8 points on 4 shots. Boozer has 4 points on 7 shots. For the love of god, Thibs, give Gibson more minutes when he is so utterly outplaying Boozer. It's not friggin rocket science.

I don't think that's fair. There were exactly one teams that understood how to screw over teams in the way that Houston did.

I might be really wrong (and I probably am) but I don't think the possibility of a team structuring the contract in the way that Houston did was mentioned outside of maybe one person at some point.

Yeah it is called incompetence

Well, when incompetence is the norm then perhaps standards have shifted.

I wonder if the Bulls got too much into the Christmas spirit!! They need Bellinelli or Nate to make crazy 3 pointers to get back in the game.

We could really use some jump shots to go in to start this half

The Bulls shouldn't be blindsided by something like that. They're paying people millions of dollars to know all the rules like the back of their hand to be able to assess every potential situation.

Just curious, was that rule put in place under the new CBA? If so, what could they have really done? They were anticipating making a run for the finals with that group.....if they had gotten rid of Asik, people would have been calling for their heads

Just because someone works for a sports team doesn't mean that they're getting paid millions of dollars. I'm sure it was an accountant making 90k or so that wasn't even remotely versed in NBA legalese instead of a lawyer with an accountant that would have been making 100s of thousands of dollars.

If you want to bash the team's management for their missteps lets realistically look at all aspects of what we criticize them for.

Obviously we all have concluded that there was some misstep in the thought process around Asik and his contract.

A majority has also concluded that the team hires bare knuckles training staff.

I think you can point to a connection between the two to determine that it was simple neglect at a macro level that likely resulted in this.

That being said the Rockets are known for being incredible at this sort of thing.

I'm not really siding with anyone in this I'm just stating that the situation wasn't obvious by any stretch.

its called forsight. The Bulls didn't use any. They have not been run particularly intelligently. The mediocrity of the management they dwell in for over a decade now post GOAT is in full feature IMAX. Krause had his faults. But he is better than these guys.

Boozer is one of the most frustrating players to watch defend the PnR

Fair enough, but they should have made a decision on both players sooner.

Kirk is getting abused by Jeremy Lin. Let that sink in.

Please make it stop now Bulls. It hurts.

And Omer nearly broke Noah's wrist on that dunk.

I forgot my main point.

The worst part is if they actually went into the offseason choosing Taj over Asik. But I don't think that happened.

They should have just forfeited the game and it would have been better than watching this. It's clear that they're not even trying. Disgusting performance tonight.
