I wouldn't know, never got a bad grade. Fair enough, though. My point is there is nothing to hold him accountable to yet... it'd be like scolding him after getting the first question wrong on a 100 question exam and then praising him for getting the second right.

If Howard can regain his form of a year ago before his injury. The Lakers won't need a great coach to win it all, but a average to good coach will do. 8-)

lol atleast we're all getting along for the common goal of a laker's championship...i mean doesn't it feel like we're entitled to the championship?...(actually being serious)...i know whenever another team wins it all...it just doesn't seem right or special...maybe because im a die-hard lakers fan i feel that way ...i donno, but it's wrong for me to feel entitled to the ship though....

no antoni is garbage still and doesn't deserve the "d" in his name. our defense was mediocre yesterday but i didn't see any defensive schemes or anything. it was just pure individual talent. meanwhile, even goes like spoelstra have their players run simple traps etc. the knicks missed a lot of open shots as well. plus, most importantly, he needs to get gasol in the post and get him scoring. nash is a major help bc he quarterbacks this team and gets around antoni's deficencies with his dribble penetration breaking down defenses but we don't have offense flow either. people don't look like the know where theyre supposed to be. and again, WHY THE F**K ARE WE STILL NOT POSTING GASOL. he should always be 15 ft and in, anything more is bad. not only can he not shoot that, but it hurts our offensive rebounding ability. and there's a reason why they say defense wins championships. i can't think of a single good team to win a ring in the last two decades i've been watching ball that wasn't elite defensively.

Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

I was ready to apologize too, but then I read this...
Latest interview with Mike D'Antoni:
Interviewer: What do you attribute your recent win streak to?
D'Antoni: Steve Nash
Interviewer: Heh, heh... Yes, it must be nice to have him back, but he has only played in 2 of the 5 games you've won... Can you identify any other factors that might have contributed to the streak?
D'Antoni: Stevie Nashy-Nash
Interviewer: Er, Ok... Pau looked much more in synch with the offense on Christmas. Can you outline some of the adjustments you made to get Pau more involved?
D'Antoni: Nashty!
Interviewer: ...........There were a lot of questions about Lakers Defense under your system, but it looks like the defensive intensity and execution seems to have improved. Is this part of your game planning or is it just a matter of players adjusting to each other and the system?
D'Antoni: Like Grandma D'Antoni always used to say: "What's good for the Goose, is good for Steve Nash"....
Interviewer: I... But... Ahem... Howard's free throw shooting looks to be much improved. But the ball doesn't seem to get to him as often as one would expect. Is this by design, or are you planning to make him more of a focal point for the offense as he works himself back in shape?
D'Antoni: Howard who? Do you mean perhaps, Steve Nash?
Interviewer: Uhh... Ok, we know Steve Nash is instrumental in your system, but what have you been doing in practice to get the rest of the team in synch? How did you prepare them for Nash's return from injury?
D'Antoni: We talkin' 'bout Practice now? Practice?!....... Not Steve Nash, not Steve Nash, not Steve Nash... But Practice?
Interviewer: Yes, well... Let's try one final question before we let you get back to you're intensive coaching responsibilities... Kobe has been taking an awful lot of shots lately... Is this by design? If not, what do you plan to do to reign that in?
D'Antoni: I believe that was two questions.
Interviewer: Ok, two questions then... Can you answer one or the other or any combination you may be so inclined to address? Really, at this point, it doesn't much matter...
D'Antoni: ..............
Interviewer: Mike?
D'Antoni: ..........Nash-Tradomus!!!
Interviewer: **** it! (Hurls mic at cameraman and exits the practice facility Gangnam Style.)

To be fair it's hard to judge a coach who didn't have a training camp to sort out his rotations. Having Nash is like having a 2nd coach who can actually get out on the court and run the offense. This team will only get better, especially with Howard not even at 100%, and Nash still a bit on the rusty side.

i don't want to say i told you so, but i told you so. A'ntoni SUCKS. no team can ever win a ring playing 0 defense. having a different philosophy doesn't make it a better one.
