love cousins as a player, but imo he is pretty much the opposite of what we need in a big man

we need a high intensity interior defender and rebounder. Not a crafy big man like Cousins who really is not athletic and more of a volume big like Randolph. Not that thats a terrible thing, but not what this team needs.

i'd give up anyone outside of the big 3 + UD (he sucks but the locker room would revolt if he were dealt after taking less money twice for the heat). joel + miller or battier + chalmers or cole. i'm dead serious, he's that good.

...and the Kings would be dead serious when they say no to that package. No contender has the assets to get him without breaking up their core and no contender will risk what they have going, by adding DMC.

That man at the pub was likely severely inebriated at the time of that declaration.

I wouldn't trade battier. Ever.

Robert Horry had to leave via free agency for the Lakers to be finished with him. They weren't trading someone like him even if it meant a Chris Webber or Paul Pierce. Some players are too important to the fabric of a champion to part ways with. I'm not saying that Shane Battier will singlehandedly decide a championship, but Lakers Dynasty I did not see another banner lifted to the rafters once Horry and Fox were finished as players.

I can't see us trading Battier or Ray. Especially not for someone like DMC.

Of course we are interested in Cousins. We are also interested in anyone anywhere that has talent and can help us win more games than we do currently. Can you say non story, people?

It would be a travesty if Cousins is available and we are not interested. Interest shouldn't be a shocker to anyone.

Oh we're definitely interested. There's no story there. The problem is we don't have enough assets to get him.

I've heard rumors that your owner is looking to dump one of the big salaries. Bosh or Wade. Is this true?

What would you guys think of a trade of Bosh for Cousins? I think its possible.

Heat are not trading any of the Big 3. I have not heard any rumors about salary dumping, I can only assume it is speculation from the media that the Heat "won't be able to afford" this team because of the luxury tax. If anyone can afford this team it is Arison and I don't see him breaking up this team because he's cheap.

Unless the Kings take our scrubs there is no way we are getting Cousins.
