If we do get two picks should we go Big Men on both?

Biz plays with a Euro (really non-American) style mindset. He constantly tries to lay it in instead of dunking, he'll even just drop the ball in with two hands instead of dunking. All of his post moves are sweeping hooks, often with his off-hand. The only time he'll use his athleticism aggressively (i.e. power) is on the run with put-back dunks and the occasional, there are no defenders around for miles, straight up gimme dunk. Biz is definitely a finesse pivot, just a raw, seldom accurate one.

I wholeheartedly agree. I just haven't seen enough of McLemore to say he has that elite scoring ability that warrants a top 5 pick yet. He needs to be scoring consistently in big bunches all season and emerge as the clear go-to on KU before he climbs over Shabazz on my draft board. I'm sick and tired of the Bobcats drafting players with average to slight measurements for their position. Look at the Nuggets game and you see their scrubs like Fournier and Randolph holding their own against our guys; large part of that is their scrubs have great size for their position. That's something the Bobcats can improve on.

It really depends on what the board looks like. We need efficient big men who can rebound. We need an elite scorer, and shooters who can spread the floor in that order. That being said I would pefer two bigs, but if Mclemore or Goodwin is the best player on the board with our pick I would take them. My ideal combo would be Zeller and Poythress. I would also like Noel and Plumlee.

My hunch is that Bobcats better hope they are getting it this year, for blazers will most likely look to upgrade their bench in the offseason and thereby improve playoff chances.
This year, if bobcats get it - it might be 13-16 whereas next year that slot could very well be in the 20's.

So right now we have the best odds at drafting 5th.I have a feeling this might turn out like the Felton/May draft again. If we do get the blazers pick in that range I hope we try to use it to move up into the top three.
Draft busts, we ain't got time for that.

While it is possible. I don't see the Blazers getting that much better in one offseason. They would have to leap frog a lot of teams for that to happen. This year I think their pick will fall 10-13. Next year 12-15.

Neither Mike or Cho were involved with the Felton/May draft. I don't see that happening again. Who would you be targeting in the top three? I am not convinced anyone in the top three is worth 5 and 13. Len could very well end up just as good as Zeller and Noel. The draft is to much of a crap shoot. Yes, last time when we kept our picks we ended up with a slightly above average pointguard and a bust. But just look how well keeping both picks worked out for Portland last draft. If we trade the picks it should be for a young player who is already doing his thing in the nba like Monroe or Hibbert, and I don't see Detroit or Indiana doing that. I think that you should only trade two picks to move up in the draft when you are targeting a sure thing. There aren't any sure things in this draft.

Re: 2013 NBA draft prospects chatter
McLemore is in no way like Monta Ellis. Ben is a pure shooting guard with solid measurables for the position and a picture perfect jumpshot. He doesnt need the ball in his hands to be effective and is at his best moving without the basketball. He does a good job quickly squaring up for his jumpers off screens and usually gets free for one backdoor alleyoop a game - providing a snapshot of his athleticism.
He isnt the dynamic player Monta is, but is more well-rounded. If you are to compare him to players - use Bradley Beal or even Ray Allen as a best case. Thats the type of player he is.
I think he is good fit for the Cats, as does Archie Goodwin in terms of shooting guards.
Not a big fan of Shabazz paired with MGK though - neither are great playmakers and both rely on offensive rebounds a lot to score. Shabazz is a lot better scorer than MGK of course and can be a 20ppg scorer, but not the creative type who will breakdown defenses and set up teammates. He's a bit Jerry Stackhouse type. Also looks similar to James Harden on drives with his floater game, but doesn't have the quickness or playmaking to go along with it.
If Cats luck into the #1 pick, I think they should be deciding between Noel and Goodwin. Noel would be my pick.

Gotta love Terry Stotts pretending he doesn't know his organization is tanking and plays his best players 40mpg...lol
Damn I hope we get that pick, 15-17 range...interesting to note that the 'guy' that slides often gets picked in this range.

Becoming a big fan of McLemore. Think he is just what we need at SG. Makes trading Hendo much more appealing.

The fact is there are a nice amount of two guards projected to be lottery picks the next two years. To many to commit a max salary to a guard who has not proved to be a reliable scorer. He is twenty five years old. He is approaching his peak basketball years, and has not even reached 17 points per game yet on a bad team. He would likely be a welcome addition to a playoff or near playoff team. If we can get a nice trade for him we need to do so.

My draft board...
Muhammad
McLemore/Noel
Zeller
Len
Zeller upside is low, but he'd fit PERFECTLY here, he can run the floor, can pair up nicely with Biyombo, can score, rebound, great IQ...
I wouldn't grab him with a top3 pick, but from 4 to 6....

Not only is Shabazz one of the talented players in this years draft, he actually would fit well playing alongside Kemba and MKG. Wouldn't be opposed to Noel or Zeller either.

I have McLemore ahead of Shabazz right now, but both would be good picks for Charlotte. I prefer them over any of the bigs in this draft.

Bobcats shoud go with a guard like Bazz, McLemore or Goodwin and find a scoring big man in FA

Re: 2013 NBA draft prospects chatter
I read all of this McLemore hype but Shabazz has been much more impressive to me this season, not to mention he's bigger and almost 2 years younger. I'll wait until March Madness tourney time to make final judgement but under the radar Shabazz has lived up to expectations and is as good as advertised during the recruiting trail. I expect Shabazz to make more of a lasting impact in the pros than McLemore.

I am primarily a Bobcat's fan. I try not to troll to often, and some of your peeps seemed to be getting tired of me.

Shabazz is going number one. We are highly unlikely to get the number one pick. I highly doubt that we pick top four this year.
