Wow. I feel bad for Johnson. He was not the reason that team is mediocre.

But, Johnson was fired in Dallas for being an overly aggressive coach on his players. He is not a player friendly coach to be around and I bet that didn't mix well with volitile vets the Nets have. Avery would be better around a young team he can push instead of a vet team.

By volatile vets, you mean D-Will? That's what really rubs me the wrong way here. D-Will has been pretty average this year, shooting an awful fg% and showing up out of shape. You may be right that Johnson isn't the best fit there, but I feel for the man. And I'm sure he will, but it'll be harder for him to land a coaching gig because of this.

Wonder who they hire...Stan, McMillan, Shaw? Or even Sloan? That'd be something.

If true, then why in the world would did Dwight ever want to play for the nets.

I agree. That team is going nowhere regardless of who's coaching them.

how ironic would it be if they hired Stan would be hilarious. Really hope they do I put the over under at 1.5 months before Dwil asks for him to be fired. Wat a b***h! lol
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

DWill and Dwight were made for each other. I doubt Stan is taking any gig that doesn't give him a great shot to contend.

I like Stan and I have a lot of respect for him. I don't wish for him to get a coaching job with idiots like Dwight and Deron. He deserves better than that.

Lets see, Deron just ran two good Yelling style coaches out of the league. No way Stan can work with that Deron. But, I think Avery is just a bad coach as he had like 3 years now and that team always underachieved while don't even bother mentioning injuries because they still had talent at other positions and a potential superstar in Deron.

daldridgetnt: Phil Jackson's longtime representative, Todd Musburger, tells me via text that Jackson "has no interest in the Nets' job at this time."

The Nets have the most overpaid stars in the NBA with Dwill/Joe/Lopez/Wallace that team will be in cap hell for years.

LMAO at the Nets! Not only are they average, but they have some of the most overpaid punks in the entire league. And I can only hope Howard joins them some how so we can see that train wreck.

The only one that can save that team is Donnie Walsh. He was able to fix the Isiah Thomas screw up which is comparable to this.

Technically, the only player that will be under contract in four seasons is Deron. If they let the team play out, hope that Lopez can get better and carry them a little more, they could be a very good team for four seasons. After that, they're back at square one.

Aka current athletes/this generation are a bunch of little babies. The only player that had an issue with Stan was dwight and like most superstar pre madonnas was a whiny little biach.
