Comparing the Rookies So far

Post#1 » by vege » Fri Dec 28, 2012 3:56 pm

#1 Anthony Davis, NO 21.26 PER 18.80 EFF 14.5 PPG 8.4 RPG 0.8 APG 31.4 MPG 15 Games 11 starts

#2 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, CHA 16.98 PER 14.61 EFF 10.8 PPG 6.3 RPG 1.9 APG 27.9 MPG 28 Games 28 Starts

#3 Bradley Beal, WSH 11.38 PER 9.79 EFF 12.1 PPG 3.6 RPG 2.4 APG 29.8 MPG 24 Ganes 22 Starts

#4 Dion Waiters, CLE 11.51 PER 9.45 EFF 14.4 PPG 2.3 RPG 3.4 APG 31.5 MPG 22 Games 22 Starts

#5 Thomas Robinson, SAC 9.38 PER 5.88 EFF 4.6 PPG 4.0 RPG 0.6 APG 16.1 MPG 26 Games 0 Starts

#6 Damian Lillard , POR 17.78 PER 17.63 EFF 18.6 PPG 3.4 RPG 6.7 APG 37.9 MPG 27 Games 27 Starts

#7 Harrison Barnes, GS 10.29 PER 8.55 EFF 8.7 PPG 4.1 RPG 1.4 APG 25.7 MPG 29 Games 29 Starts

#8 Terrence Ross, TOR 10.35 PER 5.19 RFF 6.5 PPG 1.9 RPG 0.6 APG 17.0 MPG 27 Games 0 Starts

#9 Andre Drummond, DET 21.33 PER 12.26 EFF 6.9 PPG 7.0 RPG 0.5 APG 19.3 MPG 31 Games 0 Starts

Drummond is #4 in Efficiency and #1 in PER, he does play limited minutes and never started tho. I don't think anyone in their right mind wouldn't pick Drummond in the top 4 in a re draft.

As surprised as people were when MKG was selected at #2 Charlotte did a great job picking him there and passing on Beal and Robinson.

Lillard at #6 was also a great pick for Portland. He is not young but he is a rookie PG and is playing extremely well, unlike our sophomore Knight.

GSW traded for Bogut but they're been starting Festus Ezeli at Center. They should have drafted Drummond.

Cleveland and obviously Toronto reached big time in their picks. and TRob was a horrible pick for Sacramento.

Watching Drummond the past couple of games, he's the steal of the draft. IMO, he'll be better than Anthony Davis.

I wouldn't be shocked at that at all. There is no doubt he is the steal of the year and would most likely be ROY if our coach would give him the minutes he deserves. I really still can't believe that we landed him.

If anything he should be fired for taking Ross at the #8.

While Ross has been playing decently, Drummond is absolutely BEASTING.

That article is a complete joke and so is its author..post all the stats you want(which Dre leads in almost all  )
He doesn't take into account the defensive game changer that Dre is. Anyone that has watched Dre play knows that this team is COMPLETELY different defensively when he's in the game. So stat wise they may be similar, but impact on the game? Dre has Ross by miles and miles...

If they re-drafted, Drummond would go between 2 and 4 depending on need. Davis would still be a consensus #1 though.

Davis might go #1, because GM's might have to go with the consensus guy. However, I'll bet that many of them in that situation would be secretly wishing they had the #2 pick and not the #1 pick, so they could have Drummond drop in their lap.

I personally believe that Drummond is now the better player and the better (higher ceiling) prospect. Davis looks like a really skinny guy who has to (and very likely will) grow into a KG-like player at PF.
